Akari 23N · Washi Paper
A Broad Pear-Shaped Glow at a Lower Scale
The 23N trades the height of a traditional column floor lamp for a fuller pear-shaped silhouette. At 43.3" tall and 29.5" across, it brings soft Washi light and sculptural presence closer to sofa and armchair level.
Size Ø29.5" × H43.3"
Shape Broad Pear Profile
Bulb 3000K Included
Setup Plug-In · Inline Switch
Size & Floor Scale
The 23N is shorter than a typical tall floor lamp, but its 29.5" width gives it substantial visual presence. Check both the height and the available floor area before ordering.
Ø29.5" × H43.3" Ø75 × H110cm
Its fuller lower profile works especially well where a six-foot floor lamp would feel too vertical, but you still want a substantial sculptural object in the room.
Sofa Corner Armchair Bedroom Corner Low Furniture

More horizontal presence, less vertical bulk
The rounded lower body gives the 23N a fuller footprint than a narrow column lamp, while the 43.3" height keeps the light visually lower in the room.
Shape & Paper Detail
Washi Paper Shaped into an Organic Pear Form
The off-white paper follows a rounded, tapered frame with visible horizontal ribbing. The irregular paper texture softens the geometry and becomes more luminous when the lamp is switched on.
Mulberry Washi paper
Reinforced black metal base
Akari 23N · Shape & Washi Detail Click or tap anywhere to close
Light Character Soft, low-level ambient glow
The large Washi surface diffuses the bulb across the pear-shaped shade instead of producing a directional beam. A 3000K warm-white bulb is included.
Everyday Use Plug-in · No hardwiring
A 59" / 150cm cord with inline ON/OFF switch makes setup simple. Custom cord extension is available on request.
Plan for the full 29.5" width.
The 23N is not especially tall, but it is a substantial floor lamp laterally. Give the paper shade enough clearance from walls, furniture and high-traffic paths, and place the base on a firm, level floor.

Good to Know
Does the 23N need a high ceiling?
No. At 43.3" tall, it does not need the vertical clearance of a six-foot floor lamp. The more important measurement is its 29.5" width, so check the available floor space around the shade.
Is it suitable for reading?
The 23N is designed primarily for soft ambient light. It can support relaxed evening reading beside a sofa or armchair, but detailed or prolonged reading is better paired with a directional task lamp.
Can the lamp be dimmed?
Yes, when used with a compatible dimmable E26/E27 bulb and a suitable inline dimmer or smart-bulb solution. The standard cord switch itself is ON/OFF.
How do I clean the Washi paper?
Dust gently with a dry feather duster or microfiber cloth. Do not use water, cleaning sprays, steam or a damp cloth. Keep the paper away from humid areas and direct heat.
Shipping & Returns
Free Standard Shipping (4–6 weeks) — all US & Canada orders. Expedited (2–4 weeks) available; see Shipping Policy .
If you are not satisfied, you may request a return and refund within 30 days, provided the items remain brand new and unused.
Once shipped, original shipping fees are non-refundable. Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs unless there is a quality issue.
To start a return, email support@stuberlighting.com . For details, see our Returns Policy .
Each piece is handmade, so slight variations in texture and dimensions are normal, and washi paper ambers gently over time. Screen colors are approximate; hand-measured sizes may vary 1–2cm.

HALLOWEEN EDIT
✦ DESIGNED FOR THE WAY YOU LIVE · STUBER LIGHTING
D
This lamp adds a warm glow and a very distinctive silhouette. The shape is memorable, the proportions feel right, and it brings a quiet high-end feeling to the space without being too flashy.
B
The lamp has a graceful curve and a calm glow. It looks refined, balanced, and easy to pair with different furniture styles.
M
The pear-shaped form gives this lamp a soft, artistic presence without looking too dramatic. The light is gentle and warm, and the overall shape makes it feel more like a design piece than a basic floor lamp.
A
I like how the shade has a fuller shape but still feels light visually. The tripod base keeps the lamp looking simple, and the soft lighting makes the whole piece feel relaxed and inviting.
Z
Lightweight structure, beautiful paper diffusion, and iconic style. Couldnt be happier with this addition.
L
Incredible Wabi-Sabi aesthetic. Putting the wire frame together took just a quick moment.
H
Delivers the most serene, glare-free illumination for our living room evening relaxing time.
M
The pear silhouette and textured paper shade create such a warm, artistic ambiance in our corner space.
