Wood Slat Hanging Light
The hanging version of the Zucca wood-slat lamp — the same warm, laser-cut pumpkin shade, now overhead. Light filters through the slats in soft bands and shadow, over an island, a table, or a child's room. Three sizes; a bulb included.

ight through wood slats does something a bare pendant can't: it breaks into soft vertical bands and casts a gentle pattern of shadow on the ceiling and walls around it. The Zucca's shade is laser-cut basswood, curved into a rounded pumpkin form, so hung over a table or an island it throws a warm, atmospheric glow rather than a hard downlight.
It comes in three sizes — a compact 11.8-inch for bedsides and clusters, a mid 16.5-inch, and a generous 19.6-inch statement — and it's dimmable-ready, so you can set it bright for a kitchen or low for a nursery. Owners reach for it in exactly those warm, personal rooms: a child's room, a bedroom, a cosy office corner.

The shade — laser-cut basswood.
Curved wood slats, laser-cut from natural basswood, form the rounded pumpkin shade. The precise cuts are what let the light escape in even bands. Because it's a natural material, grain and tone vary slightly from piece to piece — part of the character. Dust with a soft dry cloth; keep it dry and out of damp rooms.

The light — bulb included, dimmable-ready.
Takes a standard E26 bulb (Max 40W) and one is included, so it lights the first evening. Unlike many fixtures, it's dimmable-ready — compatible with dimmable bulbs and a standard wall dimmer — and you can add a remote-control dimmable bulb for brightness and colour control. A warm-white bulb best flatters the wood.

Installation

A bulb comes in the box.
It ships with a standard E26 bulb, so it works the first evening. It's compatible with dimmable bulbs and a standard wall dimmer — or add a remote-control dimmable bulb. Runs on AC 110–240V (standard US household current).
Wiring & Height
Hardwired to a standard ceiling junction box; professional installation is recommended. The cord runs about 59 inches and shortens at installation — long enough for a high ceiling, and adjustable for staggering a cluster. Shut off the breaker before wiring.
In The Box — A Quick Tip
Mounting hardware and instructions are included. As with any hardwired fixture, it's worth having a couple of common household screws or bolts on hand in case your junction box needs a size the kit doesn't cover — a small thing that saves a second trip mid-install.

Quick check before you order: over an island or table, hang the bottom of the shade roughly 30–36 inches above the surface. Over a dining table, a good rule is a shade about a foot narrower than the table. For a cluster, mix sizes and stagger the cords so they step down rather than line up.

Does it come with a bulb, and can I dim it?+
Yes to both. A standard E26 bulb (Max 40W) is included. And it's dimmable-ready — use a dimmable bulb with a standard wall dimmer, or add a remote-control dimmable bulb for brightness and colour-temperature control. Replacement bulbs are easy to find at any hardware store.
What kind of light does it give?+
Warm and atmospheric. The laser-cut slats break the light into soft bands and cast a gentle shadow pattern on the ceiling and walls — owners love the effect of light filtering through the shade. It's mood and accent lighting; for bright task light over a large work surface, pair it with other lighting or use the larger size.

As with any hardwired ceiling fixture, have it professionally installed, keep it at Max 40W, mount it well out of reach, and use a warm LED bulb (which runs cool). It's rated IP20 for indoor dry locations.
