Industrial bones. Soft paper glow.
The Tate is a single-arm adjustable chandelier — a sleek aluminum frame holding one parchment-paper shade, with a pivot joint that lets you redirect the light over a desk, a dining corner, or wherever the work in the room actually happens. The aluminum reads cool and industrial; the parchment paper warms it back. The combination is the closest thing in our chandelier line to "modernist workshop with the lights on."
Choose 9.4 inch shade for desks, single-chair zones, narrow rooms; 14.2 inch shade for dining areas, study rooms, and larger workspaces. E26 standard socket accepts any LED or filament bulb. The adjustable arm pivots horizontally to redirect the light beam where the room actually needs it.
Single adjustable arm
One pivoting arm — point it over a desk while you work, redirect it over a side chair when you read, then swing it back across the room when you eat. Lighting that adapts to what the room is doing today.
Aluminum frame — industrial-minimalist
Brushed aluminum reads sleeker than brass and cooler than steel — the structural finish you find in modernist studios and Italian workshops. Light frame, strong geometry.
Parchment-paper shade softens the steel
Real parchment paper diffuses the bulb into a warm amber glow — the warmth keeps the aluminum frame from feeling cold or office-like. Industrial geometry, residential warmth.
Two sizes for two scales of work
9.4 inch for desks, side tables, focused work; 14.2 inch for dining tables, study rooms, broader task lighting. Same arm, two different ambient ranges.
For rooms that work — and want to look like it
There is a particular kind of room — the home office, the studio, the writer's desk, the design studio, the dining table that doubles as a workspace — where the lighting needs to follow the work. A traditional chandelier hung at ceiling center doesn't do that. It lights the room evenly, which is the opposite of what task-driven rooms need. The Tate is built for these spaces. The single adjustable arm goes where the work is; the parchment glow makes the work zone feel intentional rather than utilitarian. The industrial-minimalist frame signals "this is a serious room" without committing to cold office aesthetics.
Tate vs. Wren — which adjustable chandelier for which room
We make two adjustable parchment chandeliers, and the choice between them is about which kind of warmth the room wants:
Choose the Tate (this fixture) for industrial-minimalist interiors, home offices, studio spaces, modernist dining rooms, and any room where the cooler aluminum frame fits the aesthetic. Single arm, single light source — direct and focused.
Choose the Wren for library, reading-nook, vintage, and traditional interiors, where warm brass and double-arm symmetry fit better. Two arms, two parchment shades, two pools of light.

Where the Tate hangs best
Home office or studio — directly above the work surface; pivot to follow the work as it moves across the desk.
Modernist dining room — single arm over a long dining table works better than a fixed central chandelier; the warm parchment glow keeps the table from feeling clinical.
Industrial loft or studio apartment — the aluminum frame complements concrete, steel, and exposed brick; warm parchment shade keeps the room habitable rather than cold.
Study or library with single reading chair — point the arm over the chair, redirect to the desk when you switch tasks.
Designer dining-table-as-workspace setup — the table that doubles as work surface and dining surface needs lighting that knows which one it's doing right now.
For the warmest parchment glow, use a 2700K-3000K LED or filament bulb. Cool bulbs will fight the warm shade and make the room read office-clinical.
The arm pivots horizontally for repositioning by hand; do not force or over-extend beyond its natural pivot range.
Safety tested for indoor use in dry locations. Meets technical requirements for North American residential lighting installations.
