The Sole is quiet by design. Its dome is cut from a single piece of solid alabaster — a translucent natural stone that stays pale and sculptural when off, then comes alive when lit, its veining glowing softly from within. The light it gives is diffuse and glare-free, the kind that makes a room feel calm rather than bright.
Because it's real stone, every shade is one of a kind — the veining is organic and unrepeatable. Set against polished gold metal, it lands somewhere between natural and refined: modern organic, quiet luxury, at home over a dining table or in a living-room vignette.

It also means the exact pattern, tone, and translucency will vary a little from the photos, which show representative examples rather than the specific shade you'll receive. Both keep a slim, low dome profile — the small at 3.1" (8 cm) tall, the large at 3.9" (10 cm) — finished in White + Gold, white alabaster paired with polished gold metal.

What to expect.
The bulb it takes
It uses a standard E27 base and works with either an LED or an Edison-style bulb (about 15W, AC 110–240V). Warm-white bulbs best suit the calming glow of the stone. We'd suggest adding an E27 bulb of your choice so it's ready to light on arrival.
Dimming
The fixture uses a simple push-button switch and isn't dimmable on its own. If you'd like dimming, fit a dimmable bulb with a compatible dimmer — then you can dial the glow up or down.
Mounting & a note on weight
A ceiling-mounted pendant for indoor use, weighing roughly 8–11 lbs (3.7–4.8 kg) depending on size — solid natural stone has real heft, so make sure the ceiling box and mount can carry the weight, and shut off power at the breaker before installing. We recommend a licensed electrician. Handle the alabaster with care, as with any natural stone.

Is the shade real stone?+
Yes — it's a dome carved from solid natural alabaster, not resin or glass. Its organic veining is real and unrepeatable, which means every shade is unique and will vary slightly from the photos in pattern, tone, and translucency.
What bulb does it use, and can I dim it?+
It takes a standard E27 bulb — LED or Edison-style, around 15W. The fixture itself isn't dimmable (it uses a push-button switch), but if you fit a dimmable bulb with a compatible dimmer, you can dim it. A warm-white bulb best suits the stone's glow.
Which size should I choose?+
The 11.8" is a refined single pendant for smaller tables, bedsides, entries, or clustering; the 15.7" gives more presence over a dining table or kitchen island. Both keep a slim, low dome shape — 3.1" tall (small) and 3.9" tall (large).
Is it heavy to install?+

Alabaster is a natural stone — veining, tone, and translucency vary from piece to piece, and each shade is unique. Dimensions are measured by hand; a 1–2cm variance is within normal range.
