Wall Sconce
A brass-finish cherub reaching out to hold a glass flower of light. A small piece of baroque romance for a bare wall — in three sculpted styles, two of them mirrored to hang as a pair.

A wall sconce is usually the most forgettable fixture in a room — a bracket, a bulb, a job done. The Serafino refuses that. It's a sculpted cherub in a brass finish, reaching out to hold a glass flower shade the way a figure in a baroque painting might hold a candle. Lit, the shade glows warm and the crystal accents catch the light; unlit, it stays a small piece of romance on the wall rather than a switched-off lamp.
It comes in three sculpted styles. Styles A and B each have a left-facing and a right-facing version, so you can mount a true mirror-image pair — one on each side of a vanity mirror, a bed, or a doorway, both turning inward toward the centre. Style C is a single wider design that stands on its own. Whichever you choose, a plain wall gains a focal point with a story to it.
The Three Styles
Two angels that mirror. One that stands alone.
A
←→
Dia 11" × H 9.8"

Left & Right.
A taller cherub pose. Buy the left or the right on its own, or the Set of 2 for a mirror-image pair that turns inward toward whatever sits between them.
B
←→
Dia 11" × H 9.8"

Left & Right.
A second cherub pose with its own gesture. Same left-and-right mirror logic, same Set of 2 option for a matched pair.
C
◆
Dia 11.8" × H 6.7"

Stands alone.
A single wider, lower composition that works on its own rather than as a pair — and can still be doubled up to run along a longer wall.
Materials
Brass, glass, and a little sparkle.
01
The angel & frame — brass-finish metal.
The cherub figure and mounting frame are metal in a warm brass finish. It's a substantial fixture — owners note the weight — which is part of why it reads as a considered piece rather than a lightweight novelty. We describe it as a brass finish rather than solid brass so there are no surprises when it arrives.
02
The shade — flower-shaped glass.
A glass flower shade sits in the cherub's hands, diffusing the bulb into a soft, glare-free glow instead of a hard point of light. Clean it with a dry or barely damp cloth; skip abrasive cleaners on the glass, the crystal and the brass finish alike.
03
The accents — crystal.
Crystal accents catch and scatter the light for a bit of glamour, lit or unlit. They're what tip the fixture from merely charming into something that reads jewel-like on the wall.
Where It Hangs
Six walls that deserve a little ceremony.
01 Flanking a vanity mirror.
A left-and-right pair on either side of a bathroom or powder-room mirror throws even, flattering light across the face — better for getting ready than a single overhead fixture, and a detail guests notice immediately.
02 Either side of the bed.
A mirrored pair as bedside wall lights frees both nightstands and frames the bed symmetrically. Owners commonly buy two specifically to bracket the headboard.
03 Beside an entry mirror or console.
A single sconce, or a pair, sets a warm and characterful tone at the front door — the storybook first impression a flat ceiling light can't give an entry.
04 Up a stairway.
Sconces are the classic answer to lighting a stair wall where no ceiling fixture reaches. A single Serafino, or a rhythm of them climbing the wall, adds warmth and a period touch to the ascent.
05 Beside artwork in a living room.
Mounted next to a framed portrait or a gallery wall, the sconce doubles as accent lighting and as part of the composition — a baroque note that flatters traditional and eclectic rooms alike.
06 Boutique hospitality.
Boutique-hotel powder rooms, bridal suites, restaurant entries and photogenic short-term rentals — a mirrored pair gives a small space an instantly memorable, symmetrical signature.

Installation
A hardwired wall mount.
Bulb Included
A bulb comes in the box.
Each sconce includes an E14 bulb, so it lights the first evening without a separate trip to the store. Fit it when you mount the fixture. Max 40W per socket — don't exceed it.
Mounting
Hardwired to a standard wall junction box via a backplate. Fix the backplate first, then secure the sconce to it and fit the cover. Professional installation is recommended.
It Has Weight
A solid, substantial fixture. Anchor the backplate into a stud or use appropriate wall anchors so it's carried securely — worth doing properly given the weight.
Control & Dimming
Runs off a standard wall switch (not included). To dim, fit a dimmable E14 bulb and pair it with a compatible wall dimmer; keep any replacement at or under Max 40W. Shut off the breaker before wiring — not just the switch.

The Scale
A real presence on the wall.
At around 11 inches, this is a full sconce with weight and reach — not a tiny accent. Plan the wall around it.
11in
Style A & B · width
28 cm across, 9.8 inches tall. Leave clear wall around each so a mirrored pair doesn't feel cramped against the mirror between them.
11.8in
Style C · width
30 cm across, 6.7 inches tall — wider and lower than A and B. The choice when you want horizontal spread over a single point.
Quick check before you order: for a mirrored pair beside a vanity mirror, mount the sconces so the shades sit roughly at eye level — about 60–66 inches from the floor — and allow the fixture's own width of clear wall between each sconce and the mirror. Because the junction box position is fixed, confirm your existing wiring lines up with where you want the light before installing.
Questions
Answered plainly.
What's the difference between Style A, B and C?+
Style A and Style B are two different cherub poses, each Dia 11" × H 9.8", and each comes in a left-facing and a right-facing version so you can mount a mirror-image pair. Style C is a single wider design at Dia 11.8" × H 6.7" that stands on its own. Buy any style singly, or choose a Set of 2 for a matched pair.
Does it come with a bulb?+
Yes — a bulb is included with each sconce. It takes a standard E14 base, so any E14 bulb rated at 40W-equivalent or below will fit when you replace it; these are stocked at Home Depot, Lowe's and Amazon. Do not exceed Max 40W per socket.
What is it made of?+
A brass-finish metal cherub and frame, a glass flower shade, and crystal accents that catch the light. It's a substantial, weighty fixture — part of why it feels considered rather than novelty. We describe it as a brass finish rather than solid brass so there are no surprises. Clean with a dry or barely damp cloth; avoid abrasive or solvent cleaners on any of the three materials.
How is it installed?+
It's a hardwired wall mount, not a plug-in or hanging fixture. Fix the backplate to the wall junction box first, wire it in, then secure the sconce onto the backplate and fit the cover. Because it has real weight, anchor the backplate into a stud or use proper wall anchors. Professional installation is recommended, and shut off the breaker — not just the wall switch — before wiring. Mounting hardware and instructions are included.
Can I use it in a bathroom, and can I dim it?+
It's rated IP20 — indoor dry locations only, so it suits a powder room or a well-ventilated bathroom away from shower spray and sustained steam; flanking a vanity mirror is one of its best uses. To dim, fit a dimmable E14 bulb and pair it with a compatible wall dimmer; keep the bulb at or under Max 40W.
Is it bright enough to light a room?+
Think of it as accent and atmosphere. The glass shade diffuses the bulb into a soft, glare-free glow — ideal beside a mirror, a bed or artwork — but a single 40W-max sconce won't light a whole room on its own. Use a pair, or combine with other lighting, in a larger space.
Do you work with trade and hospitality projects?+
Yes. The Serafino Wall Sconce specifies well for boutique-hotel powder rooms and bridal suites, restaurant entries, salon and spa mirrors, and photogenic short-term rentals. We offer trade pricing on orders of 20 units and above, matched brass-batch coordination, and project scheduling. Standard lead time runs 4–6 weeks; larger coordinated orders 8–12 weeks. Send your project brief to support@stuberlighting.com.
From The Atelier
“A sconce doesn't have to be a bracket and a bulb. Give the light a figure to hold and the whole wall changes character. We made two that mirror and one that stands alone — so the romance can be a pair or a solo.”
