The Perno Table Lamp is our tribute to the contemporary Nordic task-lamp tradition — the restrained functional accent-lamp typology championed by Hay, Muuto, and Anglepoise-adjacent Scandinavian design studios. Built around three functional principles: a pivoting arm at the base joint, a 360° rotatable head at the shade attachment, and an opal acrylic diffuser that produces glare-free warm ambient light for extended reading and desk-work sessions.

Compact at ⌀ 11.6" wide base × H 15.7" — deliberately sized for standard desks, bedside nightstands, and reading side tables. Four matte-finish colors — Red, Olive, Black, White — chosen to fit into contemporary Nordic minimalist interiors or to punch through neutral palette schemes as intentional colorful accent. Two joints. Total control.

Pivoting arm at the base.

The arm pivots at a knurled adjustment knob at the base joint — loosen the knob, tilt the arm to your preferred angle (from vertical upright to steep forward-lean), tighten the knob to lock in position. Holds firmly under normal use; no arm-creep or drift over time. Rated for thousands of adjustment cycles. This is the fixture's primary directional adjustment — angle the whole light column toward your reading material, laptop screen, or bedside book without repositioning the base itself.

360° rotatable shade head.

The shade head rotates a full 360° around the arm's end joint — spin the head to any direction, tilt it up or down, aim the opal diffuser exactly where you need warm ambient. Full circle of rotation means no dead angles: point the light forward at your book, backward as accent register for the wall behind, downward as pooled task light, or upward as bounced ambient off the ceiling. Works in combination with the pivoting arm for total two-axis directional control — the practical equivalent of an architect's task lamp at a bedside-lamp price point.

Red.

Vermillion signature

Saturated vermillion red. Punches through neutral interior palettes as intentional colorful accent. Correct for creative-industry workspaces, kids' study desks, and any interior where the fixture should signal considered colorful personality.

Color 02

Olive.

Muted earthy neutral

Muted earthy olive green. Reads as considered Japandi-adjacent nature-neutral. Pairs beautifully with warm wood furniture, natural linens, and interiors that already commit to earthy botanical palettes.

Color 03

Black.

The industrial minimalist

Deep matte black. The most-ordered finish. Reads as considered industrial-Nordic minimalism against any interior palette. Correct for home offices, minimalist bedrooms, and modern-industrial workspaces where the fixture should recede into the palette while providing directional task register.

Color 04

White.

Scandinavian pure

Warm off-white matte. Reads as considered Scandinavian purity — the fixture practically disappears against white walls and light interiors while providing full functional adjustable task lighting. Correct for feminine bedrooms, dressing tables, and interiors that resist visual noise.

▬ Body

Rust-resistant aluminum.

Powder-coated aluminum body — corrosion-resistant, lightweight, and durable. Painted matte finish is factory-cured for scratch resistance and long-term colour stability. Will not rust or discolour with normal indoor use.

▬ Diffuser

Opal acrylic diffuser.

Premium opal-white acrylic diffuser — evenly diffuses the integrated LED's output into soft glare-free light. Unlike glass shades, acrylic will not shatter if the lamp tips over; unlike fabric shades, acrylic will not yellow with age or absorb odors. Optimal for extended reading and desk-work sessions where glare-free light matters.

Application 01

Home offices & desks.

The Perno's primary application. The adjustable arm + rotatable head give you architect's-lamp directional control at a bedside-lamp price. Black is the most-ordered finish for home offices; Red and Olive for creative workspaces where the fixture should signal considered personality. The wide 11.6" base sits stably at the edge of standard 24-30" desks without wobbling.

Application 02

Bedside & reading nooks.

On bedside nightstands or beside a reading armchair — the rotatable head lets you aim the opal diffuser directly at your book without moving the lamp itself, and the pivoting arm lets you tilt the whole column forward or back as you sit up or lie down. Warm 3000K light is calibrated for pre-sleep reading register. Turn the head 180° away when you want the light off your face but still on to navigate the room.

Application 03

Kids' study desks.

For children's homework desks (roughly age 8+). The acrylic diffuser is impact-resistant and won't shatter if knocked; the aluminum body is rust-resistant and easy to clean. Choose Red or Olive for playful color signal; choose White or Black for gender-neutral register. The adjustable head lets kids direct light exactly at their reading page — good for reducing eye strain during homework sessions.

Application 04

Living-room reading corners.

On a side table beside a reading armchair — provides directional focused task light for extended reading sessions without dominating the surface. Choose Black for interiors that already commit to industrial-modern palettes; choose Red as intentional colorful accent in otherwise-neutral rooms. The pivoting arm angles the light directly at the reader's book while the base stays anchored to the side table.

Application 05

Dressing tables & vanities.

White or Olive Perno on a dressing table or bedroom vanity — reads as considered feminine-minimalist accent while providing directional makeup-application light (rotate the head to point at your face, tilt the arm to your working height). Warm 3000K default reads flatteringly for skin tones; consider 4000K neutral colour temperature upgrade for makeup-accuracy applications (contact support before ordering to specify).
