A solid walnut base and a frosted glass globe — nothing more. The wood grounds it, the glass softens the light, and the pairing gives a quiet, wabi-sabi warmth to a bedside, a bath, or a hallway.

Wabi-sabi is the art of finding beauty in what's simple and imperfect — the grain of a piece of wood, the soft irregular glow of frosted glass. The Ovi is built on exactly that idea. There's no ornament to it: a turned walnut base holds a milky glass globe, and that's the whole design. Lit, the globe glows soft and even; unlit, the wood does the talking.
It comes in two shapes — a wider, shorter globe and a slimmer, taller one — each available singly or as a pair, so you can flank a bed, a mirror, or a TV wall symmetrically. Owners reach for it precisely because it has personality without being loud.
Two Materials
Wood grounds it. Glass softens it.
Solid walnut.
A base of solid walnut with a natural, warm-brown grain and a soft sheen — owners compare its depth to a forest, and note it looks genuinely handcrafted rather than cheaply painted. Every piece varies slightly, as real wood does. Dust with a soft dry cloth; keep it dry.
Frosted glass.
A milky, frosted glass globe diffuses the bulb into a soft, ambient glow that's easy on the eye — owners specifically call the light gentle and not glaring at all. Simple, elegant, and quietly luminous whether on or off.

Single or pair: both shapes come as one lamp or a matched pair — the pair is made for flanking a bed, a bathroom mirror, or a feature wall symmetrically. Note it's a compact, decorative accent light rather than a large fixture.

Beside a bed
A matched pair either side of the headboard frees the nightstands and gives a soft, warm glow for winding down. The frosted globe keeps the light gentle at eye level.
On a TV or feature wall
Owners love a pair on a TV feature wall — the walnut and mid-century shape add personality and warmth without stealing the show.
By a bathroom mirror
Flanking a vanity mirror, the soft diffused glow is flattering and calm. (Keep it to a dry spot away from direct splashes — it's rated for indoor dry locations.)

Installation
Hardwired, and quick.
Wiring
It's a hardwired sconce — it wires to a standard wall junction box for a clean, cordless look. We recommend a licensed electrician if you're not comfortable with wiring. Owners report easy installs in about 20 minutes. Shut off the breaker first. Works on any standard on/off wall switch (not included).
Bulb
Takes a compact G4 bulb (Max 40W) and one is included, so it lights on arrival. A warm-white bulb best suits the frosted glass and walnut. Runs on AC 110–240V. Don't exceed Max 40W.
One small heads-up
There's a safety-warning sticker inside the glass globe from the factory. It peels off best if you warm it gently (a hair-dryer on low helps) and lift slowly; a dab of mild adhesive remover clears any residue so the globe stays perfectly clear.

How big is it — which shape should I choose?+
It's a compact, decorative accent light, so measure before you order. The wide shape (7.8" dia × 10.2" tall) reads rounder and fuller; the tall shape (4.7" dia × 11.8" tall) is slimmer and more delicate for narrow walls. Both come singly or as a pair for symmetry.
Is it plug-in or hardwired?+
It's hardwired — it wires into a standard wall junction box rather than plugging into an outlet, for a clean look with no visible cord. A licensed electrician is recommended if you're not comfortable with wiring. Owners report it's a genuinely easy install, often around 20 minutes.
Does it come with a bulb? What kind?+
Yes — a compact G4 bulb (Max 40W) is included, so it lights the first evening. A warm-white bulb best flatters the walnut and frosted glass. G4 replacements are inexpensive and widely available. Don't exceed Max 40W.
Can I use it in a bathroom?+
It works beautifully flanking a vanity mirror — but it's rated IP20 for indoor dry locations, so mount it away from direct splashes and steam (not inside a shower or right over a sink). In a well-ventilated bathroom, positioned away from water, it's a lovely soft vanity light.
There's a sticker inside the glass — how do I remove it?+
That's a factory safety-warning label. It comes off cleanest if you warm it gently first (a hair-dryer on low softens the adhesive), then peel slowly; any leftover residue wipes away with a little mild adhesive remover on a soft cloth, leaving the globe perfectly clear.
