The Orbit Series was built around the idea of giving glass orbs a vertical dimension rather than a horizontal one: smaller globes above, larger globes below, each suspended at a different height from a solid wood frame that provides warmth and material contrast. The frosted glass diffuses the G9 LED output into soft, even spheres of ambient light — no visible hotspot, no harsh point source. From below, the orbs glow. From the side, they read as sculpture. From across the room, the composition changes depending on the configuration: Size A (2 heads) for intimate accents, Size B (4 heads) for dining rooms and living areas, Size C (6 heads) for statement installations in open-plan spaces, entryways, and stairwells. Configuration Guide:

Size A works as a bedside or accent fixture. Size B is the dining room and living room configuration — the two-diameter orb composition creates visual interest without overwhelming standard ceiling heights. Size C is for rooms where the fixture is intended to be the room's primary design statement — the three-diameter cascade requires ceiling heights of 10 ft or above to read at its best, and works particularly well in stairwells and double-height entries where the vertical drop can be fully appreciated.

Hanging Height Guide:

For dining tables, hang so the bottom of the lowest globe sits approximately 28–34 inches above the tabletop. For Size C in stairwells and double-height entries, the full 59-inch cable allows the cascade of orbs to extend through the ceiling plane dramatically — contact service@stuberlighting.com if you need a cable extension for particularly high ceilings.

Finish Selection Guide:

Walnut: Warm wood grain that reads as organic and natural. Works in Japandi, organic modern, mid-century, and wabi-sabi interiors. Pairs with warm neutrals, linen, rattan, and natural wood furniture.

Black: Clean architectural contrast against the frosted white glass. Works in contemporary, farmhouse, industrial-modern, and mixed-material interiors. The black frame makes the frosted orbs appear to float against dark or light walls equally.

The Orbit's nested orb composition and vertical drop give it a spatial presence that horizontal-spread chandeliers cannot achieve in the same footprint. The largest globe in the Size C configuration is 23.6" in diameter — substantial, but compact enough that the full 6-head fixture can hang in a standard room without overwhelming it. What the Orbit does exceptionally well is occupy vertical space: the cascade of orbs from ceiling to room reads as a designed element rather than an object placed in a space.

🍽️ Dining Room — Size B or C: The Orbit above a dining table creates the kind of composition that photographers request permission to document. The frosted glass orbs cast soft, overlapping pools of warm light across the table — flattering to food and faces simultaneously. Size B works for tables up to 60 inches; Size C for longer tables or open-plan spaces where visual weight at ceiling height is needed. Use with dimmer-compatible wall switches for full atmosphere control.

🏛️ Entryway & Stairwell — Size C: The Size C Orbit in a double-height foyer or stairwell is one of the most striking applications of this fixture. The three-diameter cascade hangs through the vertical space like a suspended sculpture, visible from multiple floors and angles. The walnut frame against a white ceiling reads as warm and collected; the black frame against a light wall reads as graphic and deliberate.

🛁 Primary Bathroom — Size A or B: IP20 damp rating makes the Orbit one of the few statement chandeliers that can legally and safely hang above a freestanding bathtub or in a primary bathroom outside of the direct wet zone. Size A above a freestanding tub is the boutique hotel moment that every primary bathroom renovation is working toward.

🛏️ Bedroom — Size A or B: The Size A or B Orbit above the bed replaces the standard flush mount with something that makes the bedroom feel like a considered space. In Walnut above linen bedding and natural wood furniture, the fixture disappears into the room's material language while contributing to its warmth. In Black above white bedding, it creates the graphic ceiling contrast of a luxury hotel room.

🛋️ Living Room Statement — Size C: In an open-plan living area with 10+ ft ceilings, the Size C Orbit above the primary seating zone creates a ceiling moment that defines the space architecturally. The three-scale cascade is visible from every position in the room — always reading as intentional, never as decorative afterthought.
