There's a quiet moment in interior design when you realize the room doesn't need a bigger light — it needs a smaller one, in a thoughtful arrangement. The Norra is built for that moment. Four and a half inches across. Cast by hand from real cement. Compact enough to hang two above a bathroom vanity, three above a kitchen island, or beside a bed in place of nightstand lamps.
The concrete isn't a finish — it's the material itself. Each shade is poured into a mold, demolded by hand, and finished individually, which means every Norra carries small variations in surface texture and tonal depth. They're not flaws. They're the signature of cast material, the same way no two pieces of natural stone are ever identical.
Three color combinations: Black & White for modern industrial interiors, Grey & White for minimalist Scandinavian rooms, and Pink & White for softer feminine spaces — all with the same white acrylic diffuser at the bulb. Each fixture ships with G9 warm-white LED bulbs included; just install, hardwire, and switch on. 59-inch wire; we recommend a professional electrician for hardwired installation.

Mini scale isn't a limitation; it's the point. The Norra was designed to hang in series — the way industrial workshop lighting was originally arranged — so the room reads in rhythm rather than dominated by a single centerpiece.
Three temperaments, one silhouette
Black & White for graphic modern interiors. Grey & White for minimalist Scandinavian rooms. Pink & White for bedrooms and vanities that want a softer touch. Same form. Same diffuser. Different moods.
G9 compact warm light
The small bulb format keeps the fixture's silhouette clean and directs warm output downward through the acrylic diffuser — ideal for task light over sinks, counters, and reading corners. Compatible with LED capsule bulbs for low-heat, long-life operation.

Modern American interiors have steadily moved away from "one centerpiece per room" toward layered lighting — multiple sources at different heights, each doing one specific job well. The Norra was designed for this approach. Two Norras above a vanity behave differently than one larger pendant: they frame the mirror instead of crowning it. Three Norras above an island fill its visual length without overpowering the counter. A cluster down a stairwell turns architecture into installation. The fixture's small scale and accessible price make the multi-light approach genuinely affordable — most rooms benefit from two or three at the same cost as one designer statement pendant.

Where the Norra hangs best
Bathroom vanity — a pair
Two Norras flanking the mirror at task-light height. The concrete reads architectural against tile or stone — Black & White anchors moody modern bathrooms; Grey & White feels at home in lighter Scandinavian palettes.
Kitchen island — a trio
Three Norras spaced 24–30" apart along the island. Fills the visual length in a way single large pendants struggle to match, and the modular cost keeps the project affordable.
Bedside — a pair, instead of lamps
Two Norras hung at shoulder height beside the bed replace bedside table lamps and free up nightstand surface. Pink & White suits softer bedrooms; Grey & White works in masculine or shared rooms.
Powder room — a single, centered
In small enclosed rooms, one Norra is enough. The concrete adds material weight to windowless powder rooms and half baths that often feel undifferentiated.
Stairwell or two-story foyer — a cluster
Three to five Norras hung at varying heights down a tall stairwell creates a sculptural light installation at small-fixture cost — the kind of architectural moment usually reserved for $2,000 designer pieces.

Before you order
How many should I order — one, two, or three? +
The Norra was designed for multiples. As a general guide: one for a powder room, half bath, or small enclosed space. Two for bathroom vanities (one on each side of the mirror) or beside a bed (replacing bedside lamps). Three for kitchen islands, hung 24-30 inches apart along the island length. For statement applications in stairwells, two-story foyers, or above long dining tables, ordering 3-5 lets you hang them at varying heights for a sculptural cluster effect. Single Norras in large rooms can look undersized — if you have any doubt, order at least two.
Are bulbs included? What if I want dimming? +
Yes — the Norra ships with G9 LED capsule bulbs included, in standard warm-white (2700K, non-dimmable). Install, hardwire, switch on. No separate bulb shopping required.
If you want dimming, you'll need two extra purchases: (1) a dimmable G9 LED capsule bulb to replace the included one — these are widely available at Home Depot, Lowes, or Amazon for under $10 each — and (2) a dimmable wall switch compatible with LED loads. The fixture itself works with both setups; the dimming capability comes from the bulb and switch combination, not the fixture.
Is the concrete heavy? Can it hang on a standard ceiling junction box? +
The Norra weighs approximately 2-3 lbs per fixture — well within the load capacity of standard US ceiling junction boxes (rated for fixtures up to 50 lbs). The concrete is a thin cast shell, not solid, which keeps the weight manageable while preserving the architectural look. If you're hanging multiple Norras from a single junction box (a cluster installation), use a multi-fixture canopy or have your electrician confirm the box rating.
Why do my two Norras have slightly different surface tones? +
Because they're real concrete. Each shade is hand-cast individually, and natural variation in the curing process produces small differences in surface texture and tonal depth between fixtures — even within the same batch. This is the same characteristic that gives natural stone, terracotta, or hand-thrown ceramic its appeal: every piece is slightly its own. If matched-batch tones matter to your project, order all your Norras in a single order and email us at service@stuberlighting.com — we can coordinate matched-batch production for closer tonal alignment.

For bathroom installation, mount at least 6 feet above the floor and clear of direct shower spray — the IP20 rating allows bathroom use but not wet zones.
