There's a reason sconces come in pairs on either side of a bed or mirror — symmetry feels calm and considered. The Marnie builds that balance into a single fixture: tapered fabric shades that diffuse a soft, even glow, resting on warm walnut wood and slender bronze-toned stems.

It reads as mid-century but settles into almost any room — traditional or contemporary, bedroom or entryway. Choose a single shade for a compact accent, or the twin-shade version for that flanking, balanced look on a wider wall.

Fabric shades diffuse the light into a warm, inviting glow rather than a harsh point — the symmetrical twin-shade form gives a balanced spread perfect for flanking a bed or mirror.

What to expect.

The bulb it takes

It uses an E12 or E14 base (small-base screw fitting) and is compatible with LED or Edison-style bulbs, so you can choose modern efficiency or a vintage filament look. We recommend a warm white (2700–3000K) bulb to complement the fabric shades and warm walnut finish. Runs on AC 110–240V.

Installation

This is a hardwired wall sconce — it wires into your wall and must be connected to an external wall switch for control (switch not included). We recommend installation by a licensed electrician. Shut off the breaker before wiring.

Two honest notes

First, it's damp-rated (IP20), not waterproof — fine for a bathroom or powder room away from direct water spray, but for indoor use only. Second, if you'd like it lit on arrival, add compatible E12/E14 bulbs to your order so you're not waiting on a separate trip.

What's the difference between 1-light and 2-lights?+

The 1-light has a single tapered shade (∅5.9") — a compact accent for a narrower wall. The 2-lights has two symmetrical shades spanning ∅14.2", ideal for flanking a headboard or mirror with balanced illumination on both sides. Both stand 15.4" tall and project about 8.3" from the wall.

What bulb does it use?+

It takes an E12 or E14 base bulb and works with either LED or Edison-style bulbs. A warm white (2700–3000K) bulb suits the fabric shades and walnut finish best. To have it lit right away, add compatible bulbs to your order.
