Real wood. Real motor. Real quiet.
The Linnea is a Nordic-style ceiling fan with paulownia wood blades, a pure copper motor, and a minimalist acrylic shade. Where most ceiling fans use ABS plastic blades printed with a wood pattern, Linnea uses actual paulownia — the same lightweight, dimensionally-stable hardwood Scandinavian furniture makers turn to when they want wood that behaves the way wood should.
Three sizes — 42, 48, or 52 inches. Four finishes including black-and-walnut and two natural-wood combinations. Two light options: warm 3000K or three-tone switchable. Six-speed reversible airflow rated at about 40 decibels — quiet enough for a bedroom. A handheld remote is included; a wireless wall switch is available.
Real paulownia wood blades
Solid paulownia — the lightweight, stable hardwood used in Japanese tansu chests and Scandinavian furniture. Real wood ages, plastic only fades.
Pure copper motor — built to last
35-watt variable-frequency copper-winding motor. Pure copper runs cooler, lasts longer, and stays quieter over years than the aluminum-winding motors used in builder-grade fans.
Around 40 dB — quiet enough to sleep through
Independently rated airflow noise of approximately 40 decibels — about the level of a quiet library. Six speeds, forward for cooling and reverse for winter heat circulation.
Four finishes for any room
Black with walnut, wood-grey with natural, wood-white with walnut, or wood-white with natural. The neutral end of the palette — chosen to disappear into Scandi, Japandi, and modern-organic interiors.
Why real wood matters in a ceiling fan
Most ceiling fans sold in the US use ABS plastic blades printed with a wood-grain texture. From below, in catalog photos, the difference is invisible. In the room, over years, it is not. Plastic blades catch dust differently, age into a yellowed gloss, and never develop the warmth that real wood acquires over time. Linnea uses solid paulownia because the fan is one of the few fixtures in a room that you look up at — and what you look at deserves to be made of something real.
Linnea among the rest of our ceiling fans
Stuberlighting makes seven ceiling fans now, and customers ask the same question — which one for which kind of room? Here is the rule:
Choose the Linnea when the room reads Scandi, Japandi, or modern-organic — and when wood is the design vocabulary, not the printed surface.
Choose the Volari for low-profile flush-mount installation on 8-foot ceilings.
Choose the Lotus for sculptural impact in tall, modern living rooms.
Choose the Belora or Florette when chandelier-style multi-light coverage matters more than blade material.

Where it hangs best
Scandinavian or Japandi interiors — the Linnea's natural home; real wood blades match the design language of Scandi-minimal rooms.
Master bedrooms — 40 dB airflow noise is quiet enough to run all night; the natural-wood finish creates a calm bedroom atmosphere.
Modern-organic and Wabi-Sabi living rooms — wood meets minimalism; the fan reads as decor, not equipment.
Modern farmhouse and contemporary homes — the Wood-White + Walnut finish bridges traditional and modern aesthetics.
For 8-foot ceilings requiring flush mount, consider the Volari — its low-profile design suits limited headroom.
Reversible blade direction supports both summer cooling (downward airflow) and winter heat circulation (upward).
Safety tested for indoor use in dry locations. Meets technical requirements for North American residential lighting installations.
