PENDANT LIGHTS · A LINEAR ARCHITECTURAL BAR

A single
architectural line.

The Linea is a long linear pendant engineered as one clean architectural gesture above a kitchen island or rectangular dining table. Frosted acrylic diffuser stretched between slim brass or black metal bands casts even, comfortable warm glow across the surface below — none of the harsh glare or spot-shadow of traditional bulb pendants. Integrated LED light source rated for 50,000 hours means no bulb replacement, ever. Three lengths from residential (L 39.4") to statement commercial (L 59"), two metal finishes (Brass or Black), and four color-temperature / dimming options. Made for interiors specifying clean architectural minimalism at pendant register.

Even glow · no glare

Engineered for the surfaces we live over.

Most pendant lights are round — spherical, drum, cone, cocoon — and most rooms are not. The kitchen island is rectangular. The dining table is rectangular. The corridor is rectangular. The conference room is rectangular. When you hang a round pendant over a long rectangular surface, it lights the surface well only at its centre; the ends of the surface catch shadow. The Linea is engineered as the pendant that solves this — a long linear bar that matches the proportions of the surface it hangs over. Every seat at the dining table gets the same quality of light. Every workstation along the kitchen island reads with the same evenness. Every corridor length receives light in even measure end to end.

The frosted acrylic diffuser is the mechanism behind that evenness. Where clear-glass or open-bulb pendants throw directional light with visible hot spots and spot shadows, the Linea's frosted acrylic scatters the LED source across its full length before the light reaches the surface below. The result reads as even ambient glow rather than as directional task fixture — comfortable for the eye, correct for extended-duration surface use (cooking, dining, working), and consistent across every square inch of the illuminated area.

The integrated LED light source is a design decision as well as a technical one. Rated for 50,000 hours of operation — the equivalent of roughly 15 years of typical residential use — the fixture is engineered to never need bulb replacement over its lifetime. This eliminates the visible screw-in socket point that distracts from the linear architectural composition, allows the diffuser panel to run uninterrupted end-to-end, and means the fixture's clean silhouette stays clean. No bulbs to change, no sockets to see, no maintenance beyond occasional dusting.

All three sizes share the same H 35" total drop from ceiling — the length varies, the vertical proportion stays constant. Total fixture wattage scales with size (48/56/72W) to keep light output density consistent across the linear span. Suspension rods 7.9" + 19.7" default, adjustable and extendable on request at no extra charge.

Two finishes

Warm gold, or matte black.

Finish 01

Brass.

Warm gold-toned brass frame catches ambient light along the fixture's edges and reads as considered material choice above the surface below. Correct for interiors with warm palette (natural wood, warm neutrals, terracotta, oxblood, brass hardware elsewhere in the room), and for kitchens with brass tap fixtures or dining rooms with brass accent hardware. Reads more traditional and warmer than black.

Finish 02

Black.

Matte black powder-coated frame reads as graphic architectural mark against pale walls and ceilings. Correct for interiors with modern-contemporary register (concrete or white walls, black-steel details, exposed structural elements, industrial-loft register, black hardware elsewhere in the room). Reads more contemporary and more graphic than brass.

Four LED options

Match the LED to the room.

Option 01 · Warm

Warm Light · 3000K.

Fixed 3000K warm-white output. Correct for residential dining rooms, kitchen islands with warm palette, evening-use interiors, and any room where the light should read as atmospheric warm glow. The default and safer choice when uncertain.

Option 02 · Cool

Cool Light · 6000K.

Fixed 6000K cool-white output. Correct for task-heavy kitchens where cooking accuracy matters, home offices, conference rooms, and commercial retail. Reads bright and neutral rather than atmospheric — appropriate for functional over aesthetic priority.

Option 03 · Smart ★

Smart Dimming.

Full control via included remote — adjust color temperature (3000K warm to 6000K cool) and brightness independently. Correct for interiors where one fixture serves multiple modes (cook cool during prep, dim warm during dinner). No wall dimmer required.

Option 04 · Triac

Triac Dimming · 3000K.

Fixed 3000K with triac wall-dimmer compatibility (dimmer sold separately). Correct for interiors with existing dimmer switches or where wall-panel dimming control is preferred over remote. Verify dimmer compatibility before installation; not all wall dimmers work with LED fixtures.

If your interior serves multiple modes across the day (task-heavy cooking to atmospheric dining), Smart Dimming is the most flexible choice. If you know you want fixed warm evening light, Warm Light 3000K is the simplest. Cool Light and Triac Dimming serve specific applications rather than general use.

Applications

Six rectangular surfaces.

Application 01

Kitchen islands.

The primary application. Match fixture length to island length using the 60-75% rule: 5-6-ft island → L 39.4", 7-8-ft island → L 47.2", 9-10-ft island → L 59". Hang the fixture 32-38" above the counter for correct task-plus-ambient illumination.

Application 02

Rectangular dining rooms.

Above rectangular dining tables: L 39.4" for 6-seat tables (7 ft), L 47.2" for 8-seat (9 ft), L 59" for 10+ seat (11+ ft). Fixture length 60-75% of table length. Hang 30-36" above tabletop for correct evening-service light quality with even distribution across every seat.

Application 03

Executive conference rooms.

L 47.2-59" above conference tables in corporate boardrooms and executive meeting spaces. The clean architectural silhouette reads as considered professional environment; the frosted acrylic diffuser eliminates glare that could interfere with screen visibility or presentation displays.

Application 04

Home offices & studies.

L 39.4-47.2" above home-office desks and study zones. Cool Light 6000K or Smart Dimming register recommended for task-focused work; switch to warm register in the evening if using Smart Dimming variant. The even glow eliminates screen glare that concentrated bulbs produce.

Application 05

Boutique restaurants & hospitality.

L 47.2-59" above long boutique-restaurant tables, hotel lobby reception desks, hospitality bar seating, and commercial dining halls. Multi-fixture installations at repeating intervals along long tables read as considered architectural rhythm.

Application 06

Corridors & long entryways.

Above narrow corridor volumes and long entryway hallways where round pendants would leave shadow zones. The linear form matches the corridor's geometry; the even glow illuminates the full length uniformly. Multi-fixture installations at repeating intervals along longer corridors.

Choosing

A three-step decision.

1

Match length to your surface.

Fixture length should be 60-75% of the surface length below. L 39.4": 5-6-ft kitchen island · 6-seat rectangular table (7 ft). L 47.2": 7-8-ft island · 8-seat table (9 ft). L 59": 9-10-ft island · 10+ seat table (11+ ft) · conference tables · statement commercial applications.

2

Brass or Black?

Brass for interiors with warm palette (natural wood, warm neutrals, brass tap fixtures, terracotta, oxblood). Reads warmer and more traditional. Black for interiors with modern-contemporary register (concrete, white walls, black-steel details, black hardware elsewhere, industrial-loft register). Reads more contemporary and more graphic.

3

Which LED option?

Warm Light (3000K): the default residential choice — atmospheric warm output for dining, evening use, warm palettes. Cool Light (6000K): for task-heavy kitchens, home offices, commercial retail. Smart Dimming: most flexible — remote-controlled color-temperature (3000-6000K) and brightness, no wall dimmer required. Triac Dimming (3000K): if you have or want a compatible wall dimmer; verify dimmer compatibility before purchase.

Craft

Frosted acrylic. Brass or black. Integrated LED.

Every Linea is assembled from three primary components. The linear diffuser panel is precision-cut acrylic with frosted surface treatment on both sides — the frosting scatters the LED array behind it uniformly along the fixture's full length. Frosted acrylic is chosen over glass for weight (significantly lighter for equivalent optical performance), shatter-safety (won't shatter if impacted), and cost efficiency (acrylic's manufacturing tolerances make even long panels achievable at reasonable production cost). The metal bands are slim brass or matte-black-powder-coated steel — engineered to be structurally sufficient without visual mass, so the diffuser panel reads as the fixture's presence rather than the metal framework. Visible fasteners are considered as design detail rather than hidden.

The integrated LED array runs the full length of the fixture behind the diffuser — an SMD LED strip rated for 50,000 hours of operation, driver-integrated to eliminate the visible bulb-socket points that traditional pendant fixtures require. The LED does not need bulb replacement over its lifetime; approximately 15 years of typical residential use, or 6-8 years of commercial hospitality use. Included is the LED array, integrated driver, mounting hardware, ceiling canopy, and suspension rods (20+50 cm default, adjustable and extendable on request).

Questions

Which size for my kitchen island or dining table?

Fixture length should be 60-75% of the surface length below. L 39.4": 5-6-ft kitchen island · 6-seat rectangular dining table (7-ft table). L 47.2": 7-8-ft island · 8-seat table (9 ft) · statement kitchen island. L 59": 9-10-ft long island · 10+ seat table (11+ ft) · conference tables · commercial hospitality applications. All three sizes share the same H 35" total drop from ceiling and same visual proportion; only the length changes with wattage scaling proportionally (48W / 56W / 72W).

Which of the four Kelvin / dimming options should I pick?

Match the option to how you use the room. Warm Light 3000K: the default residential dining and evening-use choice — atmospheric warm output. Simplest to install (no dimmer, no remote). Best when you know you want fixed warm light. Cool Light 6000K: for task-heavy kitchens where cooking accuracy matters, home offices, and commercial retail. Reads bright and neutral. Smart Dimming: the most flexible choice — remote-controlled color temperature (3000-6000K) and brightness. Correct when one fixture serves multiple modes (cool during cooking, warm during dining). No wall dimmer required; remote included. Triac Dimming 3000K: if you have or want a compatible wall dimmer for panel-based dimming control. Verify dimmer compatibility before purchase — one customer review notes "does NOT work with a GE Smart Switch but did work with a Lutron Diva switch". Lutron Diva and Caseta triac dimmers are known compatible.

What if the LED fails after several years — can I replace it?

The integrated LED array is rated for 50,000 hours of operation — approximately 15 years of typical residential use (4 hours per day) or 6-8 years of continuous commercial hospitality use. If the LED fails within its rated lifespan under normal residential conditions, contact us at support@stuberlighting.com for warranty support and replacement guidance. If the LED fails after the rated lifespan (which most fixtures reach without failure), replacement requires a full LED-array swap by a qualified lighting technician rather than a simple bulb change; contact us for replacement-LED parts availability. The integrated-LED design deliberately trades bulb-replacement convenience for uninterrupted architectural silhouette and 50,000-hour reliability.

How high should the fixture hang?

Above kitchen islands: 32-38" above the counter surface for correct task-plus-ambient balance. Above dining tables: 30-36" above the tabletop for correct evening-service light quality. Above conference tables: 32-36" above the table. In corridors and hallways: lowest point 6.5-7 ft above the floor. Suspension rods 20 + 50 cm (7.9" + 19.7") default provide substantial adjustment range; extended rod lengths available on request at no extra charge for higher-ceiling applications.

Brass or Black — which finish?

Match the finish to your interior's existing hardware palette. Brass — for interiors with warm-toned hardware elsewhere in the room (brass tap fixtures, warm wood, terracotta or oxblood accents, gold detailing). Reads warmer and more traditional. Correct for classical, mid-century, transitional, and warm-palette interiors. Black — for interiors with cool-toned or graphic hardware (black-steel details, concrete surfaces, industrial-loft register, matte-black fixtures elsewhere). Reads more contemporary and more graphic. Correct for modern, contemporary, industrial, and cool-palette interiors. If your room contains both warm and cool moments, choose the finish that echoes the more dominant register.

How difficult is installation?

Professional installation by a licensed electrician is strongly recommended. Typical installation time: 60-90 minutes single electrician for L 39.4-47.2" residential, 90-120 minutes two-person team for L 59" statement. Customer reviews consistently note that the fixture is straightforward to install with clear electrical wiring but that the long linear body requires two-person handling for the larger sizes to avoid diffuser damage during ceiling mounting. Ensure the ceiling junction box location aligns with the intended fixture centerline before installation — the long linear body is not easily re-centered after mounting. For Triac Dimming variants specifically: verify dimmer compatibility BEFORE installation; not all wall dimmers work with LED fixtures (Lutron Diva and Caseta triac dimmers are known compatible).

How do I clean and maintain the fixture?

Frosted acrylic diffuser: wipe with soft dry microfibre cloth for regular dust; for stubborn marks or kitchen-grease residue, use a slightly damp microfibre cloth with mild dish soap solution then dry immediately. Never use abrasive cleaners, ammonia-based glass cleaners, or acetone solvents — these will damage the frosted surface treatment and create permanent discoloration or scratches. Brass finish: wipe with dry microfibre; avoid brass polish or metal cleaners (unnecessary — the brass is powder-coated for stability). Black finish: wipe with dry microfibre; the matte powder-coating resists fingerprints and dust in normal conditions. Quarterly cleaning is sufficient for typical residential dining and living room applications; monthly cleaning recommended for kitchen island installations where cooking residue can accumulate on the diffuser surface.

Can I use this in a bathroom or covered outdoor space?

No — indoor dry locations only. The Linea is rated IP20, which provides no protection against sustained moisture. Never install in bathrooms (steam damage), above hot tubs, in covered outdoor patios (temperature and humidity fluctuation), or in any location where humidity regularly exceeds normal residential interior levels. Correct locations: kitchen islands (positioned away from stovetop steam), dining rooms, living rooms, home offices, entryway foyers, corridors, conference rooms, and commercial hospitality environments with normal residential humidity levels.

Trade programs and commercial hospitality installations?

Yes — the Linea is a specified fixture for boutique-restaurant dining halls, corporate boardrooms, hospitality lobbies, executive conference rooms, and multi-unit residential design projects. Multi-fixture installations at repeating intervals along long tables or corridors read as considered architectural rhythm — the linear form is particularly well-suited to such repetition. Trade programs available; matched-batch finish coordination for multi-fixture installations; extended suspension rods at no extra charge; smart-dimming central-controller options for commercial installations with multiple Linea fixtures on a shared control system. Production lead times run 4-6 weeks; large multi-fixture orders may extend proportionally. Write to support@stuberlighting.com with your project brief — quantity, size mix (39.4"/47.2"/59"), finish, LED option, installation locations, and target timeline.

"The Linea is engineered for the surfaces we live over — kitchen islands, rectangular dining tables, conference tables, corridors. Most rooms are not round; most pendants are. The Linea solves that geometry mismatch with a single linear bar matched to the surface's proportions. Integrated LED behind frosted acrylic delivers even glow without harsh glare or spot shadow. 50,000 hours of operation, no bulbs to change, three lengths, two finishes, four LED options. Modern architectural minimalism at pendant register."
