The Irregular Surface Is the Point.
The shade is intentionally twisted rather than perfectly spherical. Its partly reflective finish creates highlights across the uneven surface, helping Lava read as an object even when the light is off.

The difference is more noticeable than four inches of height alone: the shade grows from 13.8 to 17.7 inches in diameter, giving the larger lamp significantly more visual weight.

Material Molten-Glass Look Without a Glass Shade.
The sculptural shade uses metal and acrylic construction to achieve the reflective, translucent molten effect.
Acrylic provides the depth and translucency of the intended glass-like appearance while being less fragile than a large real-glass globe.
Light Character Atmosphere First.
No separate bulb purchase is required. Keep replacement bulbs at or below the fixture's 40W maximum.
The sculptural shade softens and partially filters the bulb, so Lava is better for mood lighting than concentrated task illumination.

Lava ships with a compatible standard bulb and works from the inline on / off switch. Voltage is AC110–240V, with US, UK, AU and EU plug options.
If you want adjustable brightness and color temperature, request the compatible remote-control dimmable bulb. It replaces the standard included bulb.
Lava is a plug-in floor lamp and requires only simple final assembly. No hardwiring or electrician is required.
Especially with the 17.7-inch Large shade, avoid crowding the globe directly against curtains, shelving or nearby furniture.
Lava uses metal and acrylic to create its molten, half-metalized glass effect. Slight differences in twist and surface appearance are part of the sculptural character.

Before You Choose.
Is the sculptural shade made from real glass?
No. The shade is crafted from metal and acrylic to create a molten, hot-blown-glass effect. This gives the surface its reflective and translucent character while making the shade lighter and less fragile than a large real-glass globe.
Which size should I choose?
The Standard version measures Ø13.8" × H57.1" and is easier to integrate beside normal residential furniture. The Large version measures Ø17.7" × H61"; its globe is four inches wider, so it has noticeably stronger visual presence and benefits from more open space around it.
Is Lava bright enough to be the only light in a room?
Lava is designed primarily as ambient and decorative lighting. Its sculptural shade softens the light, making it ideal for a sofa area, reading corner, bedroom or entry. For bright general illumination, we recommend pairing it with other room lighting.
Does the bulb come included?
Yes. A compatible E26/E27 bulb is included. The fixture is rated for a maximum of 40W, so replacement bulbs should remain within that limit.
Can Lava be dimmed?
An optional remote-control dimmable bulb is available. It provides adjustable brightness and adjustable color temperature and can be supplied in place of the standard bulb.
Does it require professional installation?
No. Lava is a plug-in floor lamp with simple final assembly. No hardwiring or electrician is required. It includes a 78" / 200cm power cord and is available with US, UK, AU or EU plug options.
