Rippled glass blooms on slender gold stems.

The Iris is a modern floral chandelier — clusters of rippled glass shades arranged like blooms on slim gold metal arms, with subtle wood accents at the joints. The rippled glass surface diffuses bulb light into a soft amber glow, while the wood touches add warmth to what would otherwise read as pure metal-and-glass. The overall composition reads transitional rather than committed to any single style — modern enough for contemporary rooms, organic enough for traditional interiors, warm enough for everyday dining.

Two sizes — 24.4" for medium dining rooms and breakfast nooks, 27.6" for larger dining tables and open-plan spaces. The 11-inch height keeps the chandelier well within standard 8-foot ceiling clearance. E26 sockets accept any LED, Edison, or filament bulb up to 40W. Includes 19-inch hanging chain; extendable on request for taller ceilings.

01

Rippled glass shades

Each shade is shaped with vertical ripples that catch and refract light along the glass surface. When lit, the ripples turn the bulb's light into a soft amber glow — closer to candlelight than the harsh point-source quality of clear glass.

02

Gold metal arms — floral geometry

Slim gold-finished metal arms radiate from the central canopy at calibrated angles, each one ending in a glass shade. The arrangement reads floral rather than geometric — closer to a stylized bouquet than a chandelier diagram.

03

Wood accents at the joints

Small wood details at the canopy and arm joints break up the metal-and-glass palette with natural warmth. The wood is subtle — a tonal accent rather than a structural element — but it changes the entire feeling of the fixture from cool to warm.

04

11-inch low profile

At only 11 inches tall, the chandelier sits flat against the ceiling plane — perfect for the 8-foot ceilings standard in most American homes. Wide visual presence, minimal vertical footprint.

For dining rooms that want timeless rather than trendy

There is a particular kind of dining room — already-furnished, mid-life, owned by people who have stopped chasing trends — where the chandelier needs to look intentional without looking like it belongs to a specific moment. Modern chandeliers age fast; ornate chandeliers feel out of step with current interiors; minimalist chandeliers feel cold around a dinner table. The Iris occupies the rare middle ground. The rippled glass is contemporary; the floral geometry is timeless; the wood accents soften the metal. It's the chandelier you hang above your dining table when you don't want to think about whether it still looks right in ten years.

Where the Iris hangs best

Dining room above a rectangular or oval table (24.4" or 27.6") — the floral cluster anchors the table; the rippled-glass warm glow turns dinners into atmospheric occasions.

Breakfast nook or kitchen eating area (24.4") — smaller version fits well above 4-person tables; the wood accents complement kitchen wood elements.

Open-plan living/dining (27.6") — larger version makes the dining area feel anchored within the open space; reads as art rather than utility.

Entryway or foyer with 8-foot ceiling (24.4") — low-profile fits without crowding; rippled glass catches morning light beautifully.

Transitional or modern-traditional living room — chandelier as warm centerpiece for the room that doesn't commit to one style direction.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will this fit an 8-foot ceiling above a dining table? +

Yes — the chandelier is only 11 inches tall, and the standard 19-inch chain can be shortened during installation. For 8-foot ceilings above a 30-inch tall dining table, hang the chandelier so the bottom edge sits roughly 30-36 inches above the table surface. This puts the chandelier comfortably below the ceiling and out of head-bumping range for tall guests. Most installations need only 10-14 inches of chain visible.

Which size for my dining table — 24" or 27"? +

General rule: chandelier diameter should be roughly half to two-thirds the width of the dining table. For a 36-42 inch wide table, choose 24.4". For a 44-54 inch wide table, choose 27.6". For round tables, the chandelier should be about 12 inches smaller than the table diameter. If your table is 60" or larger, consider hanging two of the 24.4" chandeliers in a line along the table length for a designer look.

What kind of bulb works best? +

For the warmest dining-room glow, use 2700K LED bulbs or warm-white Edison filament bulbs. Edison filament bulbs work especially well — the visible filament through the rippled glass adds vintage character. For everyday dining use, 60W-equivalent LED bulbs (using around 6-8 actual watts) provide ideal brightness. Avoid 5000K+ "daylight" bulbs; the cool blue tone fights the warm gold and wood palette and makes the room read like an office.

For dining-table installation, center the chandelier directly over the table and use a dimmer for full lighting control — bright for everyday meals, low for evening dinners.

Dust the glass shades gently with a microfiber cloth; the rippled surface catches dust over time but cleans easily.

Safety tested for indoor use in dry locations. Meets technical requirements for North American residential lighting installations.
