Solid walnut wood, sculpted with intention.

The Hadley is a retro Mid-Century chandelier built primarily from solid walnut wood — not veneer, not wood-look finish, real hardwood with visible grain and natural variations. Slim walnut rods radiate from the central canopy at calibrated angles, holding glass shades that diffuse bulb light into a warm amber glow. The result is a chandelier that reads as furniture quality rather than fixture quality: it has the weight, presence, and material integrity of a piece that's been considered rather than mass-produced.

Two configurations: Model A and Model B — same 19.7" diameter and 15.7" height, but with subtly different arm arrangements. Model A reads more symmetric and traditional; Model B reads more asymmetric and contemporary. Choose based on whether you want the chandelier to anchor the room formally or feel more sculptural. Includes 59-inch chain; extendable on request.

01

Solid walnut hardwood

Real hardwood throughout — not particleboard with veneer, not laminate, not wood-look finish. Walnut develops character over years; visible grain and slight natural variations between individual pieces are part of the material's authenticity.

02

Retro Mid-Century geometry

Slim radiating wood arms in the architectural vocabulary of mid-century furniture design — Eames, Knoll, and the era of solid-wood American craftsmanship. The form reads instantly mid-century without ornament or reproduction.

03

Two configurations — Model A or Model B

Same diameter, two arm arrangements. Model A reads symmetric and formal — ideal for traditional dining rooms. Model B reads asymmetric and sculptural — ideal for modern interiors that want a more dynamic silhouette.

04

Standard E26 base, Edison-bulb friendly

E26 sockets accept any LED, Edison filament, or standard bulb up to 40W. Edison filament bulbs work especially well visually — visible filaments and the warm walnut grain together read instantly mid-century.

For rooms that want real wood, not wood-look

The chandelier market has gradually shifted toward "wood-look" finishes — laminate over MDF, vinyl wraps, photographed wood textures printed onto plastic. These are cheaper to manufacture and ship, and from across the room they look fine. But up close, they look like what they are. The Hadley is the opposite. The walnut is real walnut. The grain you see is the grain in the actual material. The chandelier has the weight of solid wood. For interiors furnished with solid-wood pieces — mid-century, traditional, transitional — a wood-look chandelier looks immediately out of place. The Hadley belongs with them.

Where the Hadley hangs best

Mid-Century dining room (Model A or B) — center over a rectangular or oval dining table; the walnut chandelier completes a room furnished with Eames-era pieces.

Modern Farmhouse or Transitional dining (Model A) — symmetric Model A reads traditional enough for modern farmhouse, modern enough for transitional.

Open-plan kitchen/dining (Model B) — asymmetric Model B reads sculptural; works as art element in modern open-plan layouts.

Master bedroom centered above the foot of the bed — soft warm light and natural wood replace standard ceiling fixtures with something architectural.

Foyer or entryway with 8-ft to 10-ft ceiling — 15.7" total height fits standard ceilings; the walnut reads warm and welcoming as a first impression.

Frequently Asked Questions

Model A or Model B — which one? +

Both versions share the same diameter (19.7") and height (15.7"), but the wood arm arrangements differ. Model A is symmetric — arms radiate uniformly from the canopy in a balanced, traditional pattern. Choose this for formal dining rooms, traditional interiors, modern farmhouse, or any room where you want the chandelier to feel anchored and stable. Model B is asymmetric — arms extend at varying angles for a more dynamic, sculptural silhouette. Choose this for modern interiors, mid-century rooms with strong design statements, or any space where you want the chandelier to feel more like art than furniture.

Is the walnut real wood or veneer? +

Solid walnut hardwood throughout. The chandelier is built from real walnut wood — not veneer, not wood-look laminate, not photographed wood texture printed on plastic. You can see and feel the wood grain, and individual pieces have slight natural variations in grain pattern that mass-produced wood-look products cannot replicate. The walnut develops character over years; some natural darkening and patina development is normal and considered part of solid hardwood's appeal.

What size dining table works with this 19.7" chandelier? +

The 19.7" diameter works best for dining tables 36-48 inches wide. For round tables, ideal table diameter is 30-36 inches (chandelier should be about 12 inches smaller than table diameter). For rectangular tables, the chandelier should be roughly half the table width. If your table is wider than 48 inches, consider hanging two of these in a line along the table length for a designer look. The 15.7" height fits standard 8-9 foot ceilings without crowding.

For the warmest mid-century glow, use 2700K LED or Edison filament bulbs. Edison filaments behind glass shades read instantly retro mid-century.

Dust the walnut wood gently with a soft dry cloth; for deeper cleaning, use furniture polish formulated for hardwood (not water-based cleaners).

Safety tested for indoor use in dry locations. Meets technical requirements for North American residential lighting installations.
