GINKGO SERIES · N°04 · FLAGSHIP
Five architectural shapes.
One botanical vocabulary.
The flagship of the Ginkgo Series — a handcrafted-porcelain chandelier available in five distinct architectural models (round vertical, linear vertical, linear horizontal, tall round, and a single oversized flagship). Fifteen configurations across all models, from a 31.5-inch entry Model A to the 137.8-inch Model E specified for hotel-lobby and atrium applications. Rose Gold frame by default; Copper Gold and custom finishes on request.

Model shapes
137.8"
Max scale
This is the architectural centrepiece of the Ginkgo Series.
Where the semi-flush Gingko Ceiling Lamp handles standard-height ceilings, the Vico chandelier serves the residential dining-room register, and the Sonia sconce covers wall installations — the Style M is the specification for the rooms where none of those work: double-height foyers, atrium staircases, banquet-scale dining rooms, hotel lobbies, and any application where the fixture is expected to hold architectural space rather than fill a residential ceiling.
All fifteen configurations share the same craft — individually hand-shaped porcelain ginkgo leaves, hand-glazed to matte-white gloss, mounted on a Rose Gold metal frame. What changes across the five models is the shape and scale: how the leaves are arranged, which direction they cascade, and how much vertical or horizontal space the completed composition occupies.
Five Models
Match the shape to the ceiling.
Each model addresses a different architectural situation. Read the four framings below, then pick the model whose shape fits your ceiling first — size configurations follow.
A
Round vertical
Circular composition, cascading downward.
Leaves arranged in a round silhouette that descends vertically from the ceiling. The most classical of the five shapes — belongs in double-height foyers, atrium staircases, primary bedrooms with 12-ft-plus ceilings, and dining rooms with round or square tables where the fixture's centred vertical composition mirrors the table below.

B
Linear vertical
Rectangular composition, cascading downward.
Leaves arranged in a rectangular silhouette that descends vertically. Correct for rectangular dining tables (8-12 seat), long console halls, staircases with narrow footprint requirements, and any application where a circular fixture would leave the tabletop under-covered. The elongated proportion follows the room's linearity.

C
Linear horizontal
Rectangular composition, spread horizontally.
Same rectangular silhouette as Model B but oriented horizontally — the leaves fan outward along a long axis rather than descending vertically. The specification for kitchen islands, breakfast bars, gallery-style dining rooms, and any interior where the fixture is meant to span linear working surface rather than drop from ceiling to tabletop.

D
Tall round vertical
Elongated circular composition, taller drop.
Round silhouette like Model A, but with more concentrated leaf density and taller-proportioned vertical drop. Correct for spaces where the circular composition needs to hold more visual weight vertically — 3-story staircase applications, entryway rotundas, and dining rooms with 14-ft-plus ceilings where Model A would read too diffuse.

E
Flagship · single scale
The oversized commercial specification.
The flagship of the Style M — a single scale at 137.8" × 118.1" (11.5 ft long, nearly 10 ft tall), reserved for hotel lobbies, atrium spaces, restaurant flagship rooms, and hospitality projects specifying botanical mid-century as architectural design principle. This is the fixture that defines the room; ceiling clearance requirements are substantial (15-ft-plus recommended). Delivered as multi-piece assembly with installation team coordination available.

Frame finish
Rose Gold by default.
The metal frame ships in Rose Gold as standard — a warm pink-gold register that pairs particularly well with matte-white porcelain and reads more contemporary than the traditional yellow-gold finishes on most botanical chandeliers. Alternative finishes are made-to-order without additional charge.
Available alternatives: Copper Gold (warmer classical register), Nickel, Chrome, White, Gold (traditional yellow), Black. Note the finish choice before checkout or contact us within 24 hours of order placement.
Bulb configuration
G9 or E12 sockets.
The fixture ships with the socket type appropriate to the model configuration — G9 (compact, sparkling point-source) for most residential-scale models, E12 (candelabra-style, warmer diffusion) for the larger Model D and Model E configurations where a slightly softer bulb output balances the composition.
All configurations: bulbs included, warm-white LED, non-dimmable. Dimming requires replacement with dimmable LEDs of matching base type. Max 40W per socket.
Craft
Made slowly, on purpose.
Individually shaped.
Every ginkgo leaf on every fixture is hand-shaped from porcelain clay. On the Model E flagship configuration, over four hundred leaves are individually formed for a single assembly. This is the tradition's slowest step and the reason production lead times run 4-6 weeks.
Hand-glazed for gloss.
Each leaf receives multiple hand-brushed applications of matte-white glaze, producing the fixture's flawless consistent finish. Automated glazing produces uneven results at this scale; hand-application is what keeps the leaves reading as considered rather than mass-produced.
Rose Gold framing.
The metal frame is polished, sealed, and warm-toned Rose Gold — the classical mid-century pairing with matte-white ceramic. The frame is what holds the multi-hundred-leaf composition in its intended shape across years of installation without sag or drift.
Rooms
Where the Style M belongs.
Application 01
Double-height foyers & staircases.
Model A (round vertical) or Model D (tall round) — the two vertical configurations descend across 6-11 ft of vertical space to hold entryway atrium volumes. Sized to the ceiling height rather than to floor plan.
Application 02
Rectangular dining tables.
Model B (linear vertical) — follows the tabletop's linear axis. Sized proportional to table length: 47.2" over 8-seat tables, 59.1" over 10-12-seat tables. Hangs 30-36 inches above the tabletop.
Application 03
Kitchen islands & long counters.
Model C (linear horizontal) — spans the counter surface without dropping vertically into working space. Sized to the counter length; 118.1" configuration correct for banquet-scale kitchens and gallery-style dining.
Application 04
Hospitality flagship rooms.
Model E — hotel lobbies, atrium spaces, restaurant flagship rooms, showroom feature installations. Multi-piece assembly requires installation team coordination; write to us before ordering to schedule.

Questions
Which model should I choose? ✿
Start with the room's ceiling shape, not with the fixture size. Round vertical (Model A) — for double-height foyers, staircases, round or square dining tables, primary bedrooms with high ceilings. Linear vertical (Model B) — for rectangular dining tables (8-12 seats), long consoles, narrow staircase footprints. Linear horizontal (Model C) — for kitchen islands, breakfast bars, gallery-style dining rooms where the fixture spans working surface. Tall round (Model D) — for 3-story staircases and rooms where Model A would read too diffuse; higher leaf density. Flagship (Model E) — hotel lobbies, atrium spaces, restaurant flagship rooms; requires 15-ft-plus ceilings. Choose the shape first, then size within the model to fit the space.
Do I have enough ceiling height? ✿
Ceiling requirements by model: Model A — 9 ft (smallest 31.5"⌀) to 14 ft (largest 59"⌀ × 137.8" drop). Model B — 9 ft (smallest) to 14 ft (largest 59.1" × 118.1"). Model C horizontal — 9 ft minimum for all sizes; less vertical demand than the drop models. Model D — 12 ft (smallest 31.4"⌀) to 15 ft (largest at 118"H). Model E flagship — 15-ft-plus recommended (fixture is 118.1" / almost 10 ft tall alone). For dining tables, add 30-36 inches from tabletop to the fixture's lowest point when calculating clearance. For foyers and staircases, minimum 7 ft from floor to fixture bottom. If unsure, write to us with your ceiling height and room dimensions before ordering.
Can I change the frame colour from Rose Gold? ✿
Yes, at no extra charge. The default is Rose Gold — a warm pink-gold register that reads more contemporary than traditional yellow-gold and pairs particularly well with the matte-white porcelain. Alternative finishes available: Copper Gold (warmer classical), Nickel (cool neutral), Chrome (silver-modern), White (monochrome), Gold (traditional yellow), Black (architectural contemporary). Specify the choice by adding a note at checkout or writing to support@stuberlighting.com within 24 hours of order placement. Custom finishes beyond this list may be available on request for hospitality-scale projects.
Why the wide price range across configurations? ✿
The Style M spans an unusual price range because it spans an unusual scale range — the smallest Model A (Dia 31.5") is a mid-size residential chandelier, while the Model E flagship (137.8" × 118.1") is a commercial-scale architectural installation. What determines price: the leaf count (each leaf is individually hand-shaped and hand-glazed), the frame scale (larger frames use more Rose Gold metal and require more assembly labour), and the shipping complexity (larger models ship in more crates with more careful transit handling). The Model E flagship uses approximately 12× the material of the smallest Model A and requires 2-person installation. If you're comparing configurations, look at the shape first and the price second; the price scales with the physical scope of the fixture.
Can I dim it? ✿
Yes — strongly recommended for all Style M configurations, particularly the larger models where 30-100+ bulbs produce substantial output at full brightness. The included LEDs are non-dimmable warm-white. Replace with dimmable G9 or E12 LEDs (matching the socket type of your specific configuration) and install a triac-compatible wall dimmer. At 40-60% brightness, the porcelain leaves catch light at their most atmospheric — the fixture reads as botanical composition rather than as bright ceiling illumination. For hospitality installations, dimmable control is essentially required to enable evening-service and event-mode lighting.
How does installation work for the larger models? ✿
All configurations ship with ceramic petals packed separately from the frame for safe transit — assembly happens at installation. Small-medium (Model A/B/C): 60-90 minutes total, 1 licensed electrician sufficient. Model D XL (Dia 47.2" × H 118"): 2-3 hours, 1-2 licensed installers recommended, junction-box weight verification required. Model E flagship: 4-6 hours, 2-person installation required, ceiling-load structural verification strongly recommended. For hospitality-scale orders, we can coordinate with your project's contractor for scheduled multi-fixture installations. Write to support@stuberlighting.com with your project brief.
How do I clean it? ✿
The matte-white porcelain is straightforward to maintain but scale matters — the Model E flagship has 400+ leaves, and cleaning takes time. For all configurations: dust with a soft dry microfibre cloth or feather duster; every 3-6 months for residential, monthly for hospitality high-traffic. For accumulated residue, a lightly-damp cloth (water only) restores the finish; never use ammonia, glass cleaner, or abrasive sponges. The Rose Gold frame wipes with a dry microfibre cloth — avoid brass polish or metal cleaner. For commercial-scale fixtures, we can coordinate with hospitality maintenance contractors on cleaning schedules and recommended tools.
Style M vs Vico Gingko Chandelier? ✿
Both are Ginkgo Series chandeliers with hand-crafted porcelain leaves; the two products serve different scale ranges. Vico Gingko Chandelier — residential chandelier scale, 6-12 head configurations, 23.6"-38.5" diameter, three-material composition (bone porcelain + H65 copper + frosted glass shades), correct for standard-height residential dining rooms and bedrooms with 9-ft-plus ceilings. Style M (this fixture) — architectural chandelier scale, 5 model shapes across 15 configurations, 31.5"-137.8" scale range, all-ceramic-leaf composition without glass shades, Rose Gold framing, correct for double-height foyers, oversized dining rooms, hospitality applications, and any interior where ceiling volume exceeds standard residential scale. If your ceiling is 9-10 ft and residential, the Vico is the correct specification; if your ceiling is 12-ft-plus or hospitality-scale, the Style M is the architectural choice.
Hospitality-scale orders and custom projects? ✿
Yes — the Model E flagship and the larger Model A/D configurations are our primary specifications for boutique hospitality, atrium spaces, restaurant flagship rooms, retail showroom feature installations, and hospitality projects specifying botanical mid-century as design vocabulary. Available: custom frame finishes, matched-batch porcelain coordination across multi-fixture installations, extended wire lengths for atrium applications, and interior-designer trade pricing. Multi-week production lead times are standard — plan installation timing accordingly. Write to support@stuberlighting.com with your project brief: application type, ceiling height, quantity, timeline, and any finish or scale customisation requirements.
"The Style M is the Ginkgo Series at architectural scale. Five model shapes because the rooms it's meant to inhabit have five different ceiling problems; fifteen configurations because those rooms come in fifteen useful sizes. What's constant across all of them is the same slow craft — individually shaped porcelain leaves, hand-glazed to matte-white gloss, mounted on Rose Gold framing. The fourth and largest of the Ginkgo Series to date."
