GINKGO SERIES · N°09 · STYLE H
The linear chandelier with
real dimensional volume.
Unlike flat linear chandeliers that read as thin horizontal ribbons across the ceiling, the Style H is designed with a uniform 25.6-inch Width — giving the fixture a real three-dimensional rectangular volume rather than a flattened profile. The 78.7-inch entry configuration approaches cube-proportion (78.7 × 25.6 × 25.6). Three sizes; height grows proportionally with length. Handcrafted porcelain ginkgo leaves; Rose Gold frame; G9 or E12 candelabra bulbs depending on size.

Why a Width dimension matters.
Most linear chandeliers — including several other configurations in the Ginkgo Series — are essentially flat: the fixture's length and drop define its silhouette, but its "width" (front-to-back depth) is minimal, often only 6-12 inches. That works well for kitchen islands, long consoles, and settings where the fixture is meant to sit above a linear surface without demanding sculptural presence in its own right.
The Style H is designed for the opposite specification. Its uniform 25.6-inch Width dimension gives the fixture a genuine three-dimensional rectangular volume — the ceramic ginkgo leaves cluster outward on all four sides of the linear frame, producing a sculptural composition that reads from any angle rather than only from below. For formal dining rooms with rectangular tables, executive boardrooms, and interior applications where the fixture is meant to hold dimensional architectural presence, this Width makes the difference between "chandelier above the table" and "sculpture that happens to illuminate."
The three sizes follow proportional scaling: the 78.7" configuration is nearly cube-proportion (L 78.7 × W 25.6 × H 25.6), suited to intimate formal dining and kitchen islands. The 98.4" and 118.1" configurations grow proportionally in height as well as length, keeping the rectangular volume in balance rather than becoming visually stretched.

Style H in context
The Ginkgo Series' dimensional linear.
Style K
Flat linear · No Width
Restrained linear composition. Choose when the fixture should sit above the surface without demanding sculptural presence.
Style J
Dense linear · Widest scale
Densest bulb count and widest scale range (47.2" to 372"). Choose for scale variety or oversized flagship applications.
Style I
Tall vertical drop · 6.5 ft
Uniform 78.7" vertical drop. Choose for double-height ceilings, staircase atriums, grand foyers.
Style H ⭐
Rectangular volume · W 25.6"
Real three-dimensional rectangular volume. Choose for formal dining, executive spaces, sculptural presence from any angle.
Choosing
A three-step decision.
1
Decide whether you need real Width.
If your dining table or kitchen island is 8+ ft long and the fixture should read as sculptural volume from any angle (walking around it, viewing from side of the room, etc.), the Style H's 25.6" Width dimension is the correct specification. If you want a flatter linear ribbon that sits above the surface without demanding independent presence, Style K or J is more appropriate.
2
Match length to the surface below.
Fixture length should be roughly 60-75% of the surface length. 78.7" — 6-8-seat rectangular dining (8-10 ft table), standard kitchen island, home bar counter. 98.4" — 10-seat statement dining, executive conference table, boutique reception. 118.1" — 12-seat formal dining, banquet application, boutique-hotel dining room, restaurant flagship.
3
Verify ceiling clearance for the Width.
Because the fixture has 25.6" Width extending from the ceiling mount, ceiling clearance must accommodate not just the fixture's Height but also allow visual space around the volume. Minimum ceiling: 9 ft for 78.7"; 10 ft for 98.4"; 11-12 ft for 118.1". For dining tables, add 30-36 inches from tabletop to the fixture's lowest point when calculating clearance.
Applications
Six rooms for dimensional linear.
Application 01
Formal dining rooms.
The primary specification. 78.7"-118.1" centred above rectangular dining tables where the fixture is meant to hold dimensional sculptural presence rather than sit as flat linear ribbon. The 25.6" Width gives the composition weight when viewed from any seat around the table.
Application 02
Kitchen islands with clearance.
78.7"-98.4" above long marble or walnut kitchen islands where ceiling height (10 ft+) allows the fixture's dimensional volume without crowding cooking headspace. The 25.6" Width reads particularly well against island bar seating and marble backsplash.
Application 03
Executive conference & boardroom.
98.4"-118.1" above executive conference tables, boardrooms, and coworking flagship spaces. The dimensional volume reads as considered authority in professional-hospitality applications.
Application 04
Home bar & music rooms.
78.7"-98.4" above home bar counters, marble bar setups, and dedicated music rooms with grand piano. The rectangular volume pairs particularly well with mid-century bar cabinetry and formal residential settings.
Application 05 · commercial
Boutique restaurants.
98.4"-118.1" above fine-dining private-dining tables in boutique restaurant flagship rooms. Matched-batch coordination for multi-room installations available.
Application 06 · commercial
Boutique hotels & hospitality.
118.1" flagship configurations in boutique-hotel reception, private-dining rooms, and hospitality reception areas where sculptural volume defines the space's design vocabulary.
Craft
Patient. Handcrafted. Rose Gold framed.
Every ceramic ginkgo leaf on every Style H configuration is individually hand-shaped from porcelain clay in our atelier. Because the fixture's 25.6" Width dimension distributes leaves on all four sides of the linear frame (rather than only downward or laterally as in flat linear fixtures), the leaf count is substantial — the 118.1" flagship configuration uses over 240 individually formed leaves. Each leaf receives multiple hand-brushed applications of matte-white glaze that produces the fixture's flawless consistent finish; automated glazing produces uneven results at this scale.
The metal frame is polished Rose Gold as standard — a warm pink-gold register that pairs particularly well with matte-white porcelain and reads more contemporary than traditional yellow-gold finishes. Alternative finishes (Copper Gold, Nickel, Chrome, White, Gold, Black) are made-to-order at no additional charge. Production lead times run 4-6 weeks; the 118.1" flagship configuration may extend proportionally depending on ceramic kiln capacity.

Questions
What does "real Width" mean and why does it matter? ♦
Most linear chandeliers — including several other configurations in the Ginkgo Series — are essentially flat: their "Width" (front-to-back depth) is minimal, often only 6-12 inches, so the fixture reads as a thin horizontal ribbon across the ceiling. The Style H is designed with a uniform 25.6-inch Width dimension that distributes ceramic ginkgo leaves on all four sides of the linear frame. This produces a genuine three-dimensional rectangular volume — the fixture reads as sculptural composition from any angle (walking around it, viewing from the side, seeing it from adjacent rooms), not just from below. For formal dining rooms, executive spaces, and hospitality applications where the fixture is meant to hold dimensional architectural presence, this Width is what makes the difference between "chandelier above the table" and "sculpture that happens to illuminate."
Which size for my dining table or kitchen island? ♦
Match fixture length to 60-75% of the surface length below. 78.7" — 6-8-seat rectangular dining tables (approximately 8-10 ft), standard kitchen islands (8-10 ft), home bar counters, long consoles. Near-cube-proportion volume works particularly well in more intimate settings. 98.4" — 10-seat rectangular dining, executive conference tables (10-12 ft), boutique hospitality reception, restaurant private-dining. 118.1" — 12-seat formal dining (14-16 ft), banquet-style residential applications, boutique-hotel formal dining rooms, commercial hospitality flagship rooms. Under-sized reads as afterthought; over-sized crowds the wall spaces at both ends of the room.
Style H vs Style K vs Style J — which linear Ginkgo? ♦
All three offer linear compositions in the Ginkgo Series; each serves a different visual register. Style K — flat linear (no Width), Model A flat or Model B cascading choice, restrained composition; correct for interiors where the fixture should sit above the surface without demanding independent presence. Style J — dense linear (no Width), widest scale range (47.2" to 372"), oversized flagship configurations available; correct for scale variety, high bulb density, or enterprise-hospitality applications. Style H (this fixture) — real 25.6" Width, three-dimensional rectangular volume; correct for formal dining, executive spaces, and applications where sculptural presence from any angle is the specification. If your interior calls for dimensional sculptural composition rather than flat linear composition, the Style H is the correct specification.
Do I have enough ceiling clearance? ♦
Minimum ceiling requirements by configuration: 78.7" × 25.6" × 25.6" — 9-ft ceilings work for dining rooms with proper tabletop clearance; 10-ft comfortable for kitchen islands. 98.4" × 25.6" × 27.6" — 10-11 ft comfortable. 118.1" × 25.6" × 29.5" — 11-12 ft recommended, with 12-ft-plus offering the fixture visual space to read as intended sculptural composition. For dining tables, add 30-36 inches from tabletop to the fixture's lowest point when calculating clearance. Because the fixture has real 25.6" Width, plan for visual space around the volume — not just clearance directly below.
Can I change the frame colour from Rose Gold? ♦
Yes, at no extra charge. The default is Rose Gold — a warm pink-gold register that pairs particularly well with matte-white porcelain and reads more contemporary than traditional yellow-gold finishes. Alternative finishes: Copper Gold (warmer classical register), Nickel (cool neutral), Chrome (silver-modern), White (monochrome), Gold (traditional yellow), Black (architectural contemporary). Specify at checkout by leaving a note, or write to support@stuberlighting.com within 24 hours of order placement. For hospitality projects with brand-specific colour requirements, custom finishes beyond this list can be discussed.
Can I dim it? ♦
Yes — strongly recommended for all Style H configurations, particularly the 118.1" flagship where the E12 candelabra bulb count across the rectangular volume produces substantial output. The included LEDs are non-dimmable warm-white. Replace with dimmable G9 LEDs (78.7" and 98.4") or dimmable E12 candelabra LEDs (118.1") — widely available, $10-18 each — and install a triac-compatible wall dimmer. At 40-60% brightness, the ceramic leaves catch light at their most atmospheric register — the dimensional sculptural volume reads as botanical composition rather than as bright task illumination. For dining rooms and hospitality applications, dimmable control is essentially required to enable evening-service and event-mode lighting scenes.
How difficult is installation? ♦
Moderate. The ceramic leaves ship packed separately from the frame — they attach individually at installation, and because the fixture has 25.6" Width with leaves distributed on all four sides of the frame, the leaf count per configuration is substantial (78.7": approximately 130 leaves; 98.4": approximately 180 leaves; 118.1": over 240 leaves). 78.7": 2-3 hours, 1 licensed electrician sufficient. 98.4": 3-4 hours, 1 electrician + 1 assistant recommended for lifting the rectangular volume during installation. 118.1": 4-5 hours, 2-person licensed installation team required, junction-box weight verification and ceiling-load structural check recommended. We can coordinate with your project's contractor for scheduled installations.
How do I clean it? ♦
The matte-white porcelain is straightforward to maintain but leaf count matters. Dust with a soft dry microfibre cloth or feather duster; every 3-6 months for residential dining rooms, quarterly for kitchen-island installations, quarterly for hospitality applications. Because the fixture has 25.6" Width with leaves distributed on all four sides of the frame, plan for slightly more thorough cleaning time than for flat linear fixtures. For accumulated residue, a lightly-damp cloth (water only) restores the finish; never use ammonia, glass cleaner, or abrasive sponges. The Rose Gold frame wipes with a dry microfibre cloth — avoid brass polish or metal cleaner (which strip the protective sealing). For the 118.1" configuration, plan for 60-90 minutes of thorough cleaning per session because of leaf count and dimensional access.
Trade pricing and hospitality-scale orders? ♦
Yes — the Style H is one of our specified fixtures for boutique-hospitality interior projects. Trade pricing available; matched-batch porcelain coordination for multi-room installations (formal dining + boardroom + reception across the same property); custom frame finishes; extended wire lengths at no extra charge. Production lead times run 4-6 weeks; multi-fixture orders and 118.1" flagship configurations may extend proportionally depending on ceramic kiln capacity. Write to support@stuberlighting.com with your project brief — quantity, configuration mix, finish specification, and installation timeline.
"The Style H is the Ginkgo Series' answer to a specific dining-room specification — that some interiors call for a chandelier with real dimensional volume rather than a flat linear ribbon above the surface. 25.6 inches of Width gives the fixture true three-dimensional rectangular presence, reading as sculptural composition from any angle rather than only from below. Three sizes because dining rooms and kitchen islands come in three useful proportional lengths, and because the near-cube-proportion 78.7" configuration deserves its own place in the series. The ninth in an ongoing Ginkgo Series."
