GINKGO SERIES · N°10 · STYLE G

The Ginkgo Series'
round drum entry.

The Style G is the round chandelier of the Ginkgo Series — a drum-form fixture built for standard-height residential ceilings where linear compositions would be too horizontal, and taller drops would descend into eye-line territory. Two Models offer a choice between shallow flat (Model A, 11.8" high) and deeper drum (Model B, 15.7" high), each in three to four proportional diameters. Seven configurations total, from 23.6" (entry) to 47.2" (flagship). All configurations use G9 warm-white bulbs. Standard 19.7" rod length; entry-price point of the Ginkgo Series' chandelier range.

Standard-height friendly

The Ginkgo Series' entry into round.

Most of the Ginkgo Series' chandelier range answers linear-composition specifications — long dining tables, kitchen islands, double-height dining rooms, hospitality atriums. Style G is the answer to a different question: what does the Ginkgo Series look like for a standard round dining table, a square foyer, a modest-scale living room, or an entryway where a linear fixture would be architecturally wrong?

The drum form solves that specification. Ceramic ginkgo leaves radiate outward from a circular Rose Gold frame in a compressed, low-profile silhouette that reads as considered ceiling ornament rather than as pendant descent. The Style G's short 19.7" rod length is intentional — the fixture is designed to sit close to the ceiling in rooms with standard 8-9-ft residential clearance, where a taller drop would crowd the room's active headspace.

Two Models expand the specification choice: Model A is the shallower flat drum (11.8" high) for the most restrained composition; Model B is the deeper drum (15.7" high) for rooms where more sculptural presence is required. Both use G9 warm-white bulbs; both fit standard residential ceilings; both are available in four (Model A) or three (Model B) proportional diameters.

Model choice

Shallow flat, or deeper drum.

Model A

Shallow flat.

Uniform 11.8" high · 4 sizes

The most restrained round drum. All four Model A configurations hold a uniform 11.8" height — porcelain leaves radiate horizontally outward from the circular frame without cascading vertically. Correct for standard 8-9-ft residential ceilings, entryway rotundas where the fixture should not descend into head-space territory, and rooms where the drum form is meant to read as ceiling ornament rather than as pendant statement.

Model B

Deeper drum.

Uniform 15.7" high · 3 sizes

The dimensional sculptural drum. All three Model B configurations hold a uniform 15.7" height — porcelain leaves cluster more densely on the circular frame, producing a fuller three-dimensional drum silhouette that reads with more presence than Model A. Correct for rooms with 9-10-ft ceilings, dining rooms where the fixture is meant to hold sculptural weight, and grand foyers where the deeper drum matches the room's architectural scale.

Choosing

A three-step decision.

1

Model A or Model B?

Model A (shallow flat, 11.8" H) — for 8-9-ft ceilings, entryway rotundas where fixture must not descend into head-space, restrained-composition dining rooms, and interiors where the drum should read as ceiling ornament rather than pendant statement. Model B (deeper drum, 15.7" H) — for 9-10-ft ceilings, dining rooms where the fixture holds sculptural weight, grand foyers, and rooms where deeper dimensional presence is architecturally supported.

2

Match diameter to the surface below.

For round dining tables: fixture diameter should be 12-18" less than the table's diameter. Ø 23.6-25.6" — 4-seat round tables (36-42" tables), small dining nooks, powder rooms, hallway accents. Ø 31.5-33.5" — 6-seat round tables (48-54"), entryway foyers, mid-size living rooms. Ø 39.4-41.3" — 8-seat round tables (60"), statement foyers, grand living rooms. Ø 47.2" — statement dining with 66"-plus round tables, grand entryway rotundas, banquet-style foyers.

3

Confirm rod length works for your ceiling.

Standard rod is 19.7" (50 cm) — a compressed drop that keeps the fixture close to the ceiling for 8-9-ft residential clearances. If your ceiling is 10-ft-plus and you want the fixture to hang lower for architectural presence, extended rod lengths are available at no extra charge. Specify at checkout or write to support@stuberlighting.com within 24 hours.

Applications

Six rooms for a round drum.

Application 01

Round dining rooms.

The primary specification. Round drum matches round dining table geometry — fixture diameter roughly 12-18" less than table diameter. Model A for 8-9-ft ceilings; Model B for 9-10-ft with more dimensional presence.

Application 02

Entryway foyers.

Model A almost exclusively — the shallow 11.8" height keeps the fixture close to the entry ceiling without descending into head-space. Ø 25.6-31.5" for standard foyers; Ø 39.4-47.2" for statement entryway rotundas.

Application 03

Living rooms & sitting areas.

Ø 31.5-41.3" centred above living room seating groups or coffee-table clusters. Model B's deeper drum reads particularly well as centrepiece composition in formal living rooms with 9-10-ft ceilings.

Application 04

Powder rooms & hallway accents.

Smallest configurations (Ø 23.6-25.6") in powder rooms with 9-ft ceilings, hallway accent applications, small dining nooks. The compressed diameter and short drop work in spaces where larger fixtures would be too dominant.

Application 05 · commercial

Boutique restaurants.

Ø 31.5-47.2" above round dining tables in boutique restaurant private-dining rooms. Model A reads more restrained; Model B holds more presence in flagship rooms with generous ceiling clearance.

Application 06 · commercial

Boutique hotel reception.

Ø 39.4-47.2" above boutique-hotel reception desks and small-lobby central positions. The drum form reads as considered ceiling accent that defines the room's welcome without demanding architectural dominance.

Craft

Patient. Handcrafted. Rose Gold framed.

Every ceramic ginkgo leaf on every Style G configuration is individually hand-shaped from porcelain clay in our atelier. The circular frame construction produces a radial leaf arrangement — leaves cluster outward from the drum's central axis in a symmetrical botanical pattern that reads as intentional composition rather than as random assembly. Even the smallest Ø 23.6" configuration uses over 50 individually formed leaves; the largest Ø 47.2" flagship exceeds 130 leaves. Each leaf receives multiple hand-brushed applications of matte-white glaze for the fixture's flawless consistent finish.

The circular metal frame is polished Rose Gold as standard — a warm pink-gold register that pairs particularly well with matte-white porcelain and reads more contemporary than traditional yellow-gold finishes. Alternative finishes (Copper Gold, Nickel, Chrome, White, Gold, Black) are made-to-order at no additional charge. Standard rod length is 19.7" (50 cm); extended rod lengths available on request at no extra cost. Production lead times run 4-6 weeks; larger configurations may extend proportionally depending on ceramic kiln capacity.

Questions

Model A (shallow flat) or Model B (deeper drum)?

The choice follows ceiling height and the visual register you want. Model A (shallow flat, uniform 11.8" H) — for 8-9-ft residential ceilings, entryway rotundas where the fixture must not descend into head-space, restrained-composition dining rooms, powder rooms, and any interior where the drum should read as ceiling ornament rather than pendant statement. Model B (deeper drum, uniform 15.7" H) — for 9-10-ft ceilings, dining rooms where the fixture is meant to hold sculptural weight, grand foyers, and formal living rooms where deeper dimensional presence is architecturally supported. When in doubt: Model A is safer for standard residential; Model B is more memorable in rooms with generous clearance.

Which diameter for my dining table or room?

For round dining tables: fixture diameter should be roughly 12-18" less than the table's diameter. Ø 23.6-25.6" — 4-seat round tables (36-42" tables), small dining nooks, powder rooms, hallway accents. Ø 31.5-33.5" — 6-seat round tables (48-54" tables), entryway foyers, mid-size living rooms. Ø 39.4-41.3" — 8-seat round tables (60" tables), statement foyers, grand living rooms, boutique-restaurant private-dining. Ø 47.2" — statement dining with 66"-plus round tables, grand entryway rotundas, banquet-style foyers, hospitality reception. For rectangular dining tables, Style K, J, or H (linear compositions) are more appropriate.

Style G vs Vico Gingko vs Style L round — which round Ginkgo?

All three offer round compositions in the Ginkgo Series; each serves a different specification. Vico Gingko Chandelier — round with dimensional volume (6/8/9/12-head cluster construction), reads as sculptural volumetric round; correct for residential dining rooms where the fixture should hold three-dimensional botanical presence. Style L Model B — round with vertical drop up to 118.1" H, reads as tall vertical statement; correct for double-height foyers, primary bedrooms with 10-14-ft ceilings, statement dining rooms. Style G (this fixture) — round drum-form (compressed low-profile), short 19.7" rod, entry-price residential specification; correct for standard 8-9-ft ceilings where the fixture should read as considered ceiling ornament rather than pendant statement. If you want the Ginkgo Series' entry into round chandelier at residential-friendly price and profile, the Style G is the correct specification.

Do I have enough ceiling clearance?

The Style G is designed for standard residential ceiling heights. Minimum requirements: Model A (11.8" fixture height + 19.7" rod = ~32" total drop) — 8-ft ceilings work for entryway rotundas and living rooms; 9-ft comfortable for dining rooms with tabletop clearance. Model B (15.7" fixture height + 19.7" rod = ~35" total drop) — 9-ft ceilings minimum; 10-ft comfortable for dining and formal living. For dining tables, add 30-36 inches from tabletop to the fixture's lowest point when calculating clearance. If your ceiling is over 10 ft and you want the fixture to hang lower for architectural presence, extended rod lengths are available at no extra charge.

Can I change the frame colour from Rose Gold?

Yes, at no extra charge. The default is Rose Gold — a warm pink-gold register that pairs particularly well with matte-white porcelain and reads more contemporary than traditional yellow-gold finishes. Alternative finishes: Copper Gold (warmer classical register), Nickel (cool neutral), Chrome (silver-modern), White (monochrome), Gold (traditional yellow), Black (architectural contemporary). Specify at checkout by leaving a note, or write to support@stuberlighting.com within 24 hours of order placement.

Can I dim it?

Yes — strongly recommended for all Style G configurations, particularly the higher-bulb-count variants (10-12 G9) where full-brightness output can exceed what most residential rooms want. The included G9 LEDs are non-dimmable warm-white. Replace with dimmable G9 LEDs (widely available, $10-18 each) and install a triac-compatible wall dimmer. At 40-60% brightness, the porcelain leaves catch light at their most atmospheric register — the drum reads as botanical composition rather than as bright task illumination. For dining rooms, dimmable control is essentially required to enable evening-service and event-mode lighting.

How difficult is installation?

Moderate. The ceramic leaves ship packed separately from the frame — they attach individually at installation, and because the fixture has a radial arrangement (leaves radiate outward from the circular drum), the assembly time depends on leaf count. Ø 23.6-25.6" (6 G9): 60-90 minutes, 1 licensed electrician sufficient. Ø 31.5-33.5" (8 G9): 90 min to 2 hours. Ø 39.4-41.3" (10-12 G9): 2-3 hours, 1 electrician + 1 assistant recommended for lifting the drum during installation. Ø 47.2" (12 G9): 2-3 hours, 2-person installation recommended for the larger drum. Detailed installation instructions ship with every order.

How do I clean it?

The matte-white porcelain is straightforward to maintain. Dust with a soft dry microfibre cloth or feather duster; every 3-6 months for residential dining and living rooms, quarterly for entryway installations where dust settles more readily. For accumulated residue, a lightly-damp cloth (water only) restores the finish; never use ammonia, glass cleaner, or abrasive sponges. The Rose Gold frame wipes with a dry microfibre cloth — avoid brass polish or metal cleaner (which strip the protective sealing). Because the Style G's compressed drum sits close to the ceiling with the 19.7" rod, cleaning access is easier than for taller pendant configurations.

Trade pricing and multi-fixture orders?

Yes — the Style G is one of our most-specified fixtures for boutique-hospitality reception installations and residential multi-room projects because of the entry price point and residential-friendly profile. Trade pricing available; matched-batch porcelain coordination for multi-room installations (dining + foyer + living across the same property); custom frame finishes; extended rod lengths at no extra charge. Production lead times run 4-6 weeks; multi-fixture orders may extend proportionally depending on ceramic kiln capacity. Write to support@stuberlighting.com with your project brief — quantity, configuration mix, finish specification, and installation timeline.

"The Style G is the Ginkgo Series' entry into round chandelier — a drum-form fixture built for the standard residential ceiling and the standard round dining table. Two Models because sometimes the drum should be shallow and restrained, sometimes it should be deeper and sculptural. Seven sizes because dining rooms, foyers, powder rooms, and living rooms come in seven useful proportional diameters. The tenth in an ongoing Ginkgo Series."
