GINKGO SERIES · N°14 · STYLE C
Linear volume, or vertical drop.
Mid-century meets Art Deco.
The Style C is the Ginkgo Series' most sculpturally ambitious linear composition — a mid-century-meets-Art-Deco fusion that offers two fundamentally different form choices in one product line. Model A is the classic rectangular linear volume with layered porcelain leaves (four sizes to L 70.9"). Model B is the shallow flat compact variant (single size). Model C is unique in the entire Ginkgo Series: a linear rectangular frame paired with a dramatic 59"-tall vertical cascade of porcelain leaves — the only Ginkgo Chandelier combining linear frame and vertical waterfall in one fixture. Eight configurations across three Models. All configurations use G9 warm-white bulbs; Rose Gold framing default.
Models A & B
Linear volume.
Rectangular · 5 configurations
Layered porcelain leaves on a rectangular Rose Gold linear frame. Model A in four residential-to-flagship sizes; Model B as a compact shallow flat variant. Correct for standard dining rooms, kitchen islands, and rectangular surfaces.
Model C ★
Vertical drop.
Linear frame + 59" vertical cascade · 3 sizes
The only Ginkgo Chandelier combining linear rectangular frame with dramatic 59"-tall vertical porcelain leaf cascade. Correct for double-height dining rooms, grand foyer rotundas, and boutique-hotel reception where architectural presence anchors the room's vertical volume.
Two forms, one botanical vocabulary.
Most linear chandeliers in the Ginkgo Series answer one horizontal specification — Style K is flat linear, Style M is commercial-scale linear, Style F Model B is extended horizontal. Style C is different because it offers two fundamentally different forms in one product line: horizontal linear volume (Models A and B) and vertical drop cascade (Model C). Same botanical vocabulary — handcrafted porcelain ginkgo leaves on Rose Gold framing — realized in two dramatically different architectural registers.
The design register is unusual for the series: Vinlighting's original design specification calls this a fusion of mid-century modern and Art Deco — the rectangular linear frame reads mid-century (clean geometry, considered proportion), while the layered leaf composition and the Model C vertical cascade reference Art Deco (dramatic sculptural presence, waterfall composition, sophisticated visual weight). This dual-inspiration fusion is unique in the Ginkgo Chandelier range.
Three Models across eight configurations. Model A (rectangular linear volume) — four sizes from residential (L 41.3") to flagship commercial (L 70.9" × W 35.4"), with layered leaves for dimensional linear composition. Model B (shallow flat compact) — single-size variant of the linear volume, compressed to 11.8" height for standard-height ceilings. Model C (linear frame + vertical drop) — three sizes with uniform H 59" vertical cascade, the only fixture in the entire Ginkgo Series combining linear and vertical forms.
Three Models

Model A · Rectangular linear
Layered horizontal volume.
4 sizes · L 41.3-70.9"
W 21.7-35.4" · H 13.8-17.7"
The classic mid-century rectangular linear volume. Porcelain ginkgo leaves cluster in layered composition on a rectangular Rose Gold frame — leaves distributed on multiple visual planes for dimensional depth rather than flat linear arrangement. Reads as mid-century sculptural presence with Art Deco compositional weight. Four sizes from L 41.3" residential entry to L 70.9" × W 35.4" flagship commercial-scale.

Model B · Shallow flat
Compact horizontal.
Single configuration
L 43.3" · H 11.8" compressed
The compact shallow flat variant. Same linear rectangular frame vocabulary as Model A but compressed to 11.8" height — the shallowest H in the Style C range. Correct for standard 8-9-ft residential ceilings where Model A's 13.8-17.7" H would descend too visibly into the room's active volume. A middle option between full sculptural presence (Model A) and dramatic vertical statement (Model C).

Model C ★ · Linear + Vertical drop
Cascading waterfall.
3 sizes · uniform H 59"
L 39.3-59" · Vertical drop
The only Ginkgo Chandelier combining linear frame and vertical drop in one fixture. Rectangular Rose Gold linear frame supports a dramatic 59"-tall vertical cascade of porcelain ginkgo leaves — a botanical waterfall that reads as Art Deco sculptural statement. The uniform 59" H across all three sizes creates architectural authority appropriate for double-height rooms, grand foyer rotundas, and hospitality flagship spaces. Reads simultaneously as horizontal linear composition (from above) and vertical drop sculpture (from below and from a distance).

Choosing
A three-step decision.
1
Horizontal linear volume or vertical drop cascade?
The most fundamental Style C decision. Horizontal linear (Model A or B) — for standard 8-10-ft residential ceilings, above rectangular dining tables and kitchen islands, where the fixture holds horizontal linear composition. Vertical drop (Model C) — for 12-ft-plus ceilings, double-height dining rooms, grand foyer rotundas, and hospitality flagship spaces where the 59"-tall vertical cascade reads as architectural botanical statement. Model C's vertical volume needs the room to accommodate it.
2
For horizontal: Model A (dimensional) or Model B (shallow flat)?
Model A (H 13.8-17.7") — for dining rooms and hospitality where the fixture should hold three-dimensional layered sculptural presence; the layered ceramic leaves read as mid-century-meets-Art-Deco dimensional composition. Requires 9-ft-plus ceilings for the visual volume to read as intended. Model B (H 11.8") — for standard 8-9-ft residential ceilings where Model A's height would visually crowd the room. Same rectangular linear vocabulary compressed to compact profile. Single size (L 43.3" × W 21.7").
3
Match size to your surface.
For rectangular dining tables: fixture length 60-75% of table length. Model A L 41.3": 6-seat dining. Model A L 49.2": 8-seat dining. Model A L 59.1": 10-seat dining, statement kitchen islands. Model A L 70.9" (flagship): 12+ seat dining, commercial hospitality. Model B L 43.3": compact residential dining/kitchen. Model C sizes: match L to your dining table if suspended above, or match to foyer/atrium horizontal footprint if central-position.
Applications
Six rooms across two forms.
Application 01
Rectangular dining rooms.
Model A L 41.3-70.9" above rectangular dining tables in modern dining rooms. The layered leaf composition reads as mid-century sculptural centrepiece. Fixture length 60-75% of table length. 9-10-ft ceilings recommended for Model A's dimensional H to read as intended.
Application 02
Kitchen islands.
Model A L 49.2-59.1" above long marble or walnut kitchen islands. Model B compact (L 43.3" × H 11.8") for standard-height kitchens with 8-9-ft ceilings where cooking headspace clearance is a concern.
Application 03
Bedrooms & standard-height living.
Model B (compact flat L 43.3" × H 11.8") in primary bedrooms with 8-9-ft ceilings, and in standard-height living rooms centred above seating clusters. The compressed height keeps the fixture near the ceiling without descending into head-space territory.
Application 04 · Model C
Double-height dining rooms.
Model C linear vertical drop above dining tables in double-height dining rooms with 14-16-ft ceilings. The 59"-tall vertical cascade of porcelain leaves reads as Art Deco waterfall sculpture centred above the table — anchoring the room's vertical volume with architectural botanical presence.
Application 05 · Model C
Grand foyer rotundas.
Model C L 47.2-59" in grand foyer rotundas and double-height entryway atriums. The vertical drop's uniform 59" H fills the vertical volume between the ceiling and the second-floor gallery view — the fixture reads dramatically from both the ground floor and the upper landing.
Application 06 · commercial
Boutique hospitality.
Model A L 59.1-70.9" above long tables in boutique-restaurant private-dining. Model C L 47.2-59" in boutique-hotel reception atriums and hospitality flagship rooms where architectural presence is the specification. Matched-batch coordination available for multi-fixture installations.
Craft
Patient. Handcrafted. Rose Gold framed.
Every ceramic ginkgo leaf across every Style C configuration and every Model is individually hand-shaped from porcelain clay in our atelier. Because Style C offers both horizontal linear volume (Models A and B) and vertical drop cascade (Model C), the assembly approach differs across Models — Model A's layered composition attaches leaves in dimensional planes, Model B's compact flat form uses a single-plane radial arrangement, and Model C's vertical drop requires patient sequential attachment of leaves along the cascading vertical structure from top canopy to bottom leaf tip. Leaf counts range from approximately 60 (Model B smallest) to over 220 (Model A flagship L 70.9"). Each leaf receives multiple hand-brushed applications of matte-white glaze for the fixture's flawless consistent finish.
The metal frame is polished Rose Gold as standard across every Model — a warm pink-gold register that pairs particularly well with matte-white porcelain and reads more contemporary than traditional yellow-gold finishes. Alternative finishes (Copper Gold, Nickel, Chrome, White, Gold, Black) are made-to-order at no additional charge across all eight configurations. Production lead times run 4-6 weeks; the Model A L 70.9" flagship and Model C L 59" flagship may extend proportionally depending on ceramic kiln capacity. Model C's vertical drop installations are shipped with detailed multi-step assembly instructions given the sequential leaf-attachment procedure.

Questions
Horizontal linear or vertical drop — which Model? ❖
The most fundamental Style C decision — the fixture offers two dramatically different form choices. Horizontal linear (Model A or B) — for standard 8-10-ft residential ceilings, above rectangular dining tables and kitchen islands, where the fixture holds horizontal linear composition. Model A gives you dimensional layered volume (13.8-17.7" H) requiring 9-ft-plus ceilings; Model B compresses the composition to 11.8" H for standard 8-9-ft ceilings. Vertical drop (Model C) — for 12-ft-plus ceilings, double-height dining rooms, grand foyer rotundas, and hospitality flagship spaces. The uniform 59"-tall vertical cascade of porcelain ginkgo leaves reads as Art Deco waterfall sculpture — it requires vertical volume to read as architectural botanical statement. If your ceiling is under 12 ft, Model C is not the correct specification; if your ceiling is 14 ft-plus and you want dramatic vertical presence, Model C is unique in the entire Ginkgo Series.
Model A (dimensional) or Model B (shallow flat)? ❖
Both share the same rectangular linear frame vocabulary — the difference is H and volume. Model A — layered leaf composition in dimensional volume (H 13.8-17.7" · W 21.7-35.4"); reads as three-dimensional mid-century sculptural presence with Art Deco compositional weight. Four sizes from residential (L 41.3") to flagship commercial (L 70.9" × W 35.4"). Requires 9-ft-plus ceilings for the H to read as intended. Model B — same linear vocabulary compressed to shallow flat (H 11.8" · single size L 43.3" × W 21.7"); reads as compact horizontal composition close to the ceiling. Correct for standard 8-9-ft residential where Model A would visually crowd the room. When in doubt: Model A for 9-ft-plus ceilings and statement register; Model B for 8-9-ft standard-height residential.
What is Model C's vertical drop — how does it work? ❖
Model C is the only Ginkgo Chandelier combining linear rectangular frame and vertical drop cascade. Structure: a rectangular Rose Gold linear frame (L 39.3-59" × W 17.7-21.7") supports G9 bulbs at the top; from the underside of the frame, porcelain ginkgo leaves cascade downward in a dramatic 59"-tall vertical waterfall. Viewed from above, the fixture reads as horizontal linear composition; viewed from below or from a distance, it reads as vertical Art Deco waterfall sculpture. The 59" H is uniform across all three sizes — what changes across the range is the L (39.3"/47.2"/59") and correspondingly the horizontal footprint of the top frame. Correct for double-height dining rooms with 14-16-ft ceilings, grand foyer rotundas with double-height entryway atriums, and hospitality flagship reception rooms where the vertical drop reads as architectural centrepiece.
What size for my dining table or room? ❖
For rectangular dining tables: fixture length 60-75% of table length. 6-seat table (8 ft): Model A L 41.3", Model B L 43.3", Model C L 39.3". 8-seat table (10 ft): Model A L 49.2", Model C L 47.2". 10-seat table (12 ft): Model A L 59.1", Model C L 59". Statement 12+ seat (14 ft+): Model A L 70.9" flagship. For grand foyer rotundas (Model C central position): match L to the rotunda's horizontal footprint width — Model C L 47.2-59" reads as centred welcome sculpture. For kitchen islands: same L calculation as dining but confirm cooking headspace clearance below the fixture's lowest point.
Do I have enough ceiling clearance? ❖
Minimum ceiling requirements depend on Model. Model B (compact flat · H 11.8"): 8-ft residential ceilings work comfortably; 9-ft comfortable for dining rooms. Model A (H 13.8-17.7"): 9-ft ceilings recommended minimum; 10-ft comfortable for dining and statement; larger Model A sizes (L 59.1"/70.9") benefit from 10-ft-plus ceilings for the dimensional H to read as intended. Model C (H 59" vertical drop): 12-ft-plus ceilings required minimum for the vertical drop to read as intended; 14-ft-plus recommended, ideal for double-height dining rooms and grand foyer rotundas. Add wire length (59" standard, adjustable) to fixture height when calculating total drop. For dining tables, add 30-36 inches from tabletop to the fixture's lowest point. Extended wire lengths available at no extra charge for all Models.
Can I change the frame colour from Rose Gold? ❖
Yes, at no extra charge across all Models. The default is Rose Gold — a warm pink-gold register that pairs particularly well with matte-white porcelain and reads more contemporary than traditional yellow-gold finishes. Alternative finishes: Copper Gold (warmer classical register), Nickel (cool neutral), Chrome (silver-modern), White (monochrome), Gold (traditional yellow), Black (architectural contemporary). For the mid-century-meets-Art-Deco fusion register, Rose Gold and Copper Gold read most complementary to the design intent. Specify at checkout by leaving a note, or write to support@stuberlighting.com within 24 hours of order placement.
Can I dim it? ❖
Yes — strongly recommended across all Models and configurations, particularly Model A larger sizes and Model C where higher G9 bulb counts (10-14 across the range) mean full-brightness output can exceed what most rooms want. The included G9 LEDs are non-dimmable warm-white. Replace with dimmable G9 LEDs (widely available at any lighting retailer) and install a triac-compatible wall dimmer. At 40-60% brightness, the porcelain leaves catch light at their most atmospheric register — Model A's layered composition and Model C's vertical cascade both benefit dramatically from dimmable control, revealing the sculptural depth that full-brightness illumination flattens. For dining rooms, dimmable control is essentially required to enable evening-service and event-mode lighting scenes.
How difficult is installation? ❖
Moderate to substantial depending on Model. The ceramic leaves ship packed separately from the frame — they attach individually with small screws at installation, and time scales with leaf count and structural complexity. Model B (compact single): 2 hours, 1 licensed electrician sufficient. Model A smaller sizes (L 41.3-49.2"): 2-3 hours, 1 electrician + 1 assistant recommended. Model A larger (L 59.1-70.9"): 3-4 hours, 2-person licensed installation team strongly recommended for lifting and assembling the larger rectangular frame. Model C (vertical drop · all sizes): 4-6 hours, 2-person installation strongly recommended — the sequential vertical attachment (leaves attach from top-frame downward along the 59" vertical cascade) requires patience and steady hand for the arrangement to read as intended. Detailed installation instructions ship with every order. Customer reviews consistently note that installation is time-consuming but the finished result is worth the effort — one reviewer specifically calling the assembly "arduous but beautiful once assembled."
Trade programs and hospitality orders? ❖
Yes — the Style C is a specified fixture line for boutique-hospitality reception, mid-century-modern residential design projects, and Art Deco-influenced interior installations. Model A's flagship L 70.9" and Model C's vertical drop configurations are particularly specified for boutique-hotel reception atriums and hospitality flagship rooms. Trade programs available; matched-batch porcelain coordination for multi-fixture installations across dining + kitchen + hospitality zones; custom frame finishes; extended wire lengths at no extra charge. Production lead times run 4-6 weeks; multi-fixture orders and Model A/C flagship configurations may extend proportionally depending on ceramic kiln capacity. Model C's vertical drop installations typically require dedicated project coordination for shipping and installation planning. Write to support@stuberlighting.com with your project brief — quantity, configuration mix (residential vs hospitality zones), finish specification, and installation timeline.
"The Style C is the Ginkgo Series' fusion of mid-century modern and Art Deco — three Models offering two dramatically different forms in one product line. Model A gives you rectangular linear volume with layered leaves for mid-century sculptural presence. Model B compresses that vocabulary into shallow flat for standard residential ceilings. Model C is the only fixture in the entire Ginkgo Series combining linear rectangular frame with 59"-tall vertical porcelain waterfall — an Art Deco cascade of botanical composition. Eight configurations covering rectangular dining, kitchen islands, standard-height residential, double-height dining rooms, grand foyer rotundas, and hospitality flagship spaces. The fourteenth in an ongoing Ginkgo Series."
