— A design tribute —
The Daisy is Stuberlighting's tribute to the iconic VP3 table lamp — the larger of Verner Panton's 1968 Flowerpot series, originally for Louis Poulsen and now produced under license by &Tradition. The Daisy is not an authentic VP3 product; it's an independently manufactured homage offered at a fraction of the original's price.
If you want the certified article with full design provenance and manufacturer warranty, we encourage you to purchase from &Tradition directly. If you love the silhouette and want it in your home — in colors that suit your interior, at a price that makes sense for a bedside table — the Daisy is built for you.
When Verner Panton designed the Flowerpot series in 1968, he made it in two sizes — a smaller portable version that became the VP9 (now the Poppy in our range), and a larger plug-in table lamp that became the VP3. The VP3 was the canonical statement piece: tall enough to anchor a bedside or console at proper proportional height, with the same hemisphere-on-cylinder geometry that defined the series. Mid-Century interior photographs of the 1970s show the VP3 on dressing tables, living room consoles, and primary bedrooms across European and American homes.
The Daisy is built in that tradition. The same Flowerpot silhouette, scaled up to 19.3" total height for proper statement placement, with E26 socket and replaceable bulbs (the original VP3 used a similar candelabra-class socket). Twelve colors — including the iconic Chrome finish that defined the VP3's most-photographed Mid-Century interior looks, alongside seven contemporary additions for current Y2K revival and Cottagecore palettes.
Bulbs included. Built to UL safety standards. 59-inch standard cord with in-line switch; custom cord lengths available on request. Compatible with dimmable E26 LEDs and standard triac wall dimmers for full atmosphere control.

What makes the Daisy
01
Statement-scale height · 19.3"
At nearly 20 inches total height, the Daisy reads as a proper bedside or console table statement — taller than the portable Poppy (11.6"), proportionally correct for placement next to a 24-30" bedside table or 30-36" console. The taller stance also throws light over a wider area, making the Daisy a primary table lamp rather than a small accent.
02
E26 socket · replaceable bulbs · dimmable
Standard E26 medium-base socket — the same socket used in most American residential lamps. Bulbs replaceable for the lifetime of the fixture. Compatible with dimmable E26 LEDs + triac wall dimmers for full atmosphere control. Maximum 40W per socket; most modern LED bulbs draw 8-12W so there's significant headroom.
03
Twelve colors · including iconic Chrome
The Daisy's color range includes the canonical Chrome finish that defined the original VP3 — polished metallic that catches and reflects ambient light, the version most Mid-Century interior designers reach for first. Plus five neutrals (Matte Black, Matte White, Beige Gray, Light Sand, Red-brown), Dark Green, Yellow, Lotus Pink, Sky Blue, Stone Blue, and Signal Green for contemporary palettes.
04
59" cord · in-line switch · custom length available
Standard 59-inch (5 ft) cord — long enough for most bedside and console placements near a wall outlet. In-line push-button switch on the cord lets you toggle on/off without reaching across the table to the base. For longer cord runs, custom lengths available on request at service@stuberlighting.com.
05
All-metal construction · automotive-grade finish
The hemisphere shade, cylinder base, and connecting hardware are all metal — no plastic, no veneer, no painted-board fillers. The colored finishes are applied using an automotive-grade multi-stage spray process — undercoat, color coat, protective clear coat — that resists chips, scratches, and UV yellowing far beyond standard powder coats. With normal care, the color stays vivid for decades.
— Daisy & Poppy: the Flowerpot family —
Two scales of the same iconic silhouette
When Verner Panton designed the Flowerpot series, he made it in two sizes. We do the same. Poppy (the VP9 size — 6.3" diameter, 11.6" tall) is the portable, cordless, USB-rechargeable version with touch dimming — designed for bedsides, desks, and tables you move between rooms. Daisy (the VP3 size — 9.1" diameter, 19.3" tall) is the larger plug-in version with replaceable E26 bulbs and standard dimmer compatibility — designed for primary bedside lamps, console tables, and statement placements.
Choose Daisy if you want: A primary statement table lamp, dimmable via standard wall switch, larger scale. Choose Poppy if you want: A small portable accent lamp, cordless freedom, touch dimming, easy to carry between rooms. Many of our customers order one of each in matched or complementary colors.
— Where it lives —
Recommended spaces
Primary bedside · Chrome, Matte Black, or Lotus Pink · pair recommended
The signature application. A pair of Daisies flanking a bed creates symmetrical Mid-Century bedroom geometry. Chrome reads sophisticated and reflects ambient bedroom light beautifully; Matte Black anchors against patterned bedding; Lotus Pink suits romantic or Y2K-leaning bedrooms. Dimmable E26 LEDs paired with a wall dimmer give you full evening atmosphere control.
Console table or sideboard · Chrome or Matte White · single statement
A single 19.3" Daisy centered on a foyer console or living room sideboard. The Chrome finish reads as a deliberate Mid-Century reference — pairs beautifully with leather chairs, walnut floors, and brass accents. The reflective surface picks up colors from the room, making the lamp feel responsive to its environment.
Living room side table · Dark Green, Red-brown, or Yellow · accent statement
A Daisy on the side table next to the sofa anchors the seating area in deliberate Mid-Century vocabulary. Dark Green pairs with Cottagecore palettes; Red-brown with leather furniture and walnut floors; Yellow reads playful and Y2K. The 19.3" height keeps the lampshade above sightlines when seated.
Vanity or dressing table · Lotus Pink, Matte White, or Sky Blue
The Mid-Century silhouette pairs beautifully with a circular vanity mirror, the dimmable bulb provides flattering ambient light for getting ready. Lotus Pink reads romantic and feminine; Matte White is the timeless choice; Sky Blue brings airy Scandinavian softness to morning routines.
Mid-Century color story · multiple Daisies across rooms
Iconic Mid-Century homes used the same silhouette in different colors across multiple rooms — Chrome console in the foyer, Matte Black primary bedside, Lotus Pink vanity, Dark Green reading corner. The Daisy's $129 price point makes this approach financially feasible — a curated Mid-Century color collection without committing to thousands per lamp.

Questions
Is this an authentic Verner Panton VP3? +
No — the Daisy is a design tribute to the iconic VP3, not an authentic &Tradition product.
The authentic VP3 (Flowerpot VP3 Table Lamp) is a Mid-Century lamp designed by Verner Panton in 1968 as part of his Flowerpot series, originally for Louis Poulsen and now produced under license by &Tradition. The authentic article carries the original designer's name, manufacturer markings, included warranty, and design provenance — priced accordingly (typically $400-600 retail).
The Daisy is independently manufactured by Stuberlighting as a tribute to the silhouette. It uses similar proportions (the canonical hemisphere-on-cylinder geometry scaled to VP3 size) and offers the same plug-in/dimmable-bulb functionality, but it is not a licensed reproduction. If you want the authentic article with its full design heritage, we recommend purchasing directly from &Tradition or an authorized dealer.
If you want the shape, the proportions, and the visual presence in colors that suit your home — at a price that fits a typical residential lighting budget — the Daisy is built for that purpose.
Daisy or Poppy — which should I choose? +
Choose Daisy (the VP3 size, 19.3" tall) if:
· You want a primary bedside or console statement lamp
· You prefer replaceable E26 bulbs (no integrated battery to eventually age out)
· You want standard wall dimmer compatibility
· The Chrome finish appeals to you (only available in Daisy)
· You're okay with a corded plug-in installation
Choose Poppy (the VP9 size, 11.6" tall) if:
· You want a small portable accent lamp
· Cordless freedom matters (carry between rooms)
· Touch dimming on the lamp top appeals more than wall switch dimming
· You want one of the 16 color options not available on Daisy
· The lamp will be moved frequently between locations
Many customers order one of each — Daisy as primary bedside, Poppy as portable accent or backup; or Daisy in living room, Poppy on the bedside. Both share the same iconic silhouette in matched scale.
Which of the 12 colors should I order? +
Chrome — the canonical VP3 finish, most-photographed in Mid-Century interior design. Reflects ambient room color and feels responsive to environment. The safest "design history" choice.
Matte Black or Matte White — the most versatile neutrals. Work in any interior style; transitional and resale-friendly.
Lotus Pink or Sky Blue — soft Y2K revival colors. Read romantic without being saccharine; particularly good in bedrooms and vanities.
Dark Green or Red-brown — Earthy and Cottagecore-leaning. Pair with walnut floors, leather furniture, botanical accents.
Yellow, Signal Green, Stone Blue — vivid Y2K and Mid-Century revival statement colors. Best used as deliberate accent pieces in maximalist interiors.
Most ordered: Chrome (the iconic choice), Matte Black (the safe choice), Lotus Pink (the trending choice). Many customers order 2-3 colors in matched or complementary tones for different rooms.
Can I dim the Daisy? +
Yes — bulb-and-switch compatible.
The fixture itself is dimmable-compatible. To enable dimming: replace the included non-dimmable bulb with a dimmable E26 LED bulb (widely available at Home Depot, Lowe's, Amazon for $8-15) and either:
· Plug into an outlet controlled by a triac wall dimmer — full smooth dimming from 5-100%
· OR add an inline cord dimmer between the lamp and outlet — same effect without rewiring the wall switch
The included bulb is a standard non-dimmable warm-white LED (works with on/off only). The fixture itself imposes no dimming limitations.
Will the colored finish chip or fade over time? +
No — automotive-grade spray finish is engineered for long-term durability.
The Daisy is finished using a multi-stage spray process — undercoat, color coat, protective clear coat — the same approach used in premium automotive manufacturing. This delivers a surface that resists chips, scratches, UV yellowing, and color degradation far beyond standard powder coats or single-stage paint.
Chrome finish specifically: Polished metal protected by clear coat that prevents oxidation and water spots. With normal care (avoid abrasive cleaners or rough sponges), the Chrome stays mirror-bright for decades.
Avoid abrasive cleaners or rough sponges (use only damp soft cloth for cleaning). With normal care, the color should look as good after 10+ years as the day you received it.
— A note from us —
Each Daisy's finish is applied using an automotive-grade multi-stage spray process. With normal care, the color and Chrome finishes stay vivid and mirror-bright for the lifetime of the lamp.
For matched pairs (bedside symmetry), multi-color collection orders, or restaurant/hospitality bulk orders, email service@stuberlighting.com — we coordinate matched-batch finish for visual consistency and offer bulk pricing on orders of 5+ units.
Safety tested for indoor use in dry locations. Built to meet UL, ETL, CE, and SAA electrical safety standards for residential lighting installations.
