Yes — but the Braccio is a compact accent floor lamp, not a traditional tall reading floor lamp. At 35.8" (roughly waist-height for an average adult), the Braccio sits comfortably beside a reading armchair with the diffuser positioned above the arm of the chair (which is the optimal reading-light position — the beam directed downward onto the seated reader's lap). The swing arm extends outward roughly 18" from the vertical stand, which means the diffuser can hover directly over your reading material regardless of exactly where the base is positioned. For a traditional tall floor lamp behind a sofa at 60"+ height, our Tronco (63") is the correct choice; the Braccio is designed for direct-adjacent reading applications where the compact height is a positive design feature.

Friction-fitted, holds any angle you set. The swing arm pivots from the top of the vertical stand via an internal friction joint calibrated to hold weight but yield to intentional force. This means you can push or pull the arm to any angle you want and it will stay there — no locking screws to tighten, no ratchets to click, no cams to remember. Same for the rotating diffuser at the end of the arm — it rotates 360° around its axis via a similar friction detent. Both joints are designed to hold their position for years without needing adjustment; if either joint ever loosens over time, we include a small hex tool for tightening the internal tension.

Integrated LED, no bulb replacement. The LED module is engineered into the rotating diffuser head and driven by a hidden transformer inside the cylindrical base. This is intentional — an integrated design allows the compact diffuser silhouette (no visible bulb glare, no chunky socket), the rotating adjustability (no cord tangling around a socket), and the 3000K warm-white calibration matched to the diffuser optics. The LED module is rated for 50,000+ hours of use (approximately 15-20 years at typical 4-hour daily use), so bulb replacement should never be needed within a normal ownership period. Yes — plug the Braccio into a wall outlet controlled by a triac-compatible LED dimmer (Lutron Diva and Caseta triac dimmers are known LED-compatible). The integrated LED is dimming-compatible with common wall dimmers. At 30-50% brightness the fixture reads at its most atmospheric register — particularly correct for evening reading ambient and pre-sleep bedside register. Note: the inline switch on the cord is on/off only (not itself a dimmer), so wall-outlet dimmer control is the correct dimming path.

Yes — the Braccio is specifically designed as a reading floor lamp. The 40W integrated LED (equivalent to 60W+ incandescent) inside the concentrated diffuser head produces bright, focused, and glare-free downlight when the diffuser is positioned above your reading material at correct distance (12-24" from the page). Unlike ambient floor lamps that project soft light throughout a room, the Braccio's rotating diffuser concentrates the beam onto exactly the surface you want to illuminate. Correct for extended reading sessions of standard-print books, magazines, newspapers, and paper work. For very small-print reading (medical texts, technical documents), we still recommend supplementing with a dedicated task lamp.

Painted-iron body: wipe with soft dry microfibre cloth for regular dust; for stubborn marks or fingerprints, dampen microfibre with mild dish soap solution then dry immediately with a fresh cloth. Never use abrasive scouring pads, steel wool, or bleach — all will damage the painted finish permanently. For particularly stubborn marks, mild soap solution then dry immediately. The painted finish is durable and colour-fast under normal use, but avoid prolonged direct sunlight exposure over years (may cause subtle colour shift, particularly on the Yellow and Red finishes).

Minor assembly — approximately 10 minutes with basic tools included. The Braccio ships with the vertical stand + swing arm + diffuser head pre-assembled as a single unit; the cylindrical base ships separately for compact shipping. Attach the vertical stand assembly to the base via 3 concealed screws (hex tool included), connect the internal wire to the transformer terminal (labeled and colour-coded), plug the cord into your wall outlet.
