— ASTRA / FLUSH MOUNT —
A disc of soft light,
two inches off the ceiling.
A slim Scandinavian-style flush mount for the rooms where wider, taller fixtures don't fit — and the spaces that just want their ceiling light to stay quiet.

Integrated
There's a specific category of American interior problem that flush mount fixtures solve: low ceilings. The standard 8-foot residential ceiling can't accommodate a pendant or a chandelier; even semi-flush mounts hang down too far. Add in modern apartments with 7'6" ceilings, finished basements with 7'4" beams, and converted attics with sloping rooflines — and the ceiling fixture has to disappear into the architecture entirely.
The Astra is built for this category. The total profile is 1.9 inches — about as thin as a hardcover book — so it functionally sits flush against the ceiling without hanging down. The white acrylic diffuser glows uniformly across its full diameter, giving the room the same kind of ambient illumination a larger fixture would, without occupying the visual airspace.
Integrated LED, no bulbs to replace. Built to UL safety standards. Choose your size (16, 20, or 24 inches), color (clean white or moss green), color temperature (warm 3000K, neutral 4000K, or cool 6000K), and dimming preference (standard or triac dimmable) at checkout.

What makes the Astra
01
1.9-inch profile — the slimmest in our category
Most flush mounts are 3-5 inches deep — they read as objects on the ceiling rather than part of it. The Astra is 1.9 inches, achieved by integrating the LED module directly into the housing rather than using socketed bulbs. The result reads architectural at floor level — you see a glowing disc, not a fixture that happens to be ceiling-mounted.
02
Integrated LED — no bulb replacement
The light source is a dual LED module integrated into the housing — not replaceable like a screw-in bulb, but rated for 25,000-50,000 hours of operation (15-30 years at average residential use). The advantage of the integrated approach: no socket visible from below, no bulb shadow on the diffuser, uniform illumination across the entire disc surface.
03
Three color temperatures · selectable at checkout
3000K Warm for bedrooms and living rooms (golden candlelight feeling). 4000K Neutral for kitchens, hallways, and home offices (balanced daylight). 6000K Cool for utility spaces, bathrooms, and bright task areas (crisp clinical white). Most American interior designers recommend warm for living spaces and neutral for working spaces.
04
Optional triac dimming · two color choices
The dimmable version uses standard triac dimmer compatibility — works with most US wall dimmers without specialty controls. Two body colors: clean White that disappears against typical white ceilings, or moss Green for Maximalist, Cottagecore, and Dopamine Décor interiors where the ceiling fixture should be a deliberate color accent.
— On low ceilings —
"A pendant in an 8-foot ceiling room is a head-height obstacle. A flush mount is a glowing disc."
American residential ceilings are often shorter than the lighting industry assumes. Modern apartments routinely have 7'6" ceilings. Many basements come in at 7'4". Postwar suburban tract homes were built with 7'8" ceilings as standard. In these rooms, a 12-inch-deep pendant or chandelier consumes a substantial percentage of the available headspace; you walk under it; it dominates the room.
A flush mount fixture solves this by removing the vertical dimension from the equation entirely. The Astra's 1.9-inch profile means the ceiling reads as a continuous plane with a glowing disc embedded in it, rather than a hanging object obstructing it. In smaller rooms, lower-ceiling rooms, and any space where the ceiling already feels close — this is the right answer.
— Sizing the Astra —
Three sizes, three room scales
15.7"
SMALL · 25W × 2
For small bedrooms (under 120 sq ft), bathrooms, walk-in closets, kids' rooms, and hallway accents. The most common size in apartments and smaller residential rooms. Two or three units along a long hallway create even ambient illumination.
19.6"
MEDIUM · 31W × 2
For standard bedrooms (120-180 sq ft), home offices, dining nooks, and medium kitchens. The most versatile Model — works as the primary ceiling light in most American residential rooms without feeling either undersized or imposing.
23.6"
LARGE · 38W × 2
For large bedrooms (180+ sq ft), open-plan living/dining areas, large kitchens, and conference room-style applications. The 23.6" Astra delivers enough illumination to function as the sole ceiling light in larger rooms without needing additional fixtures.
— Where it lives —
Recommended spaces
Bedroom · White or Green · 16-20"
The default bedroom ceiling light. Warm 3000K matches typical bedside lamp color, dimmable version recommended for evening reading. Green Astra is particularly striking in Cottagecore or maximalist bedrooms with patterned wallpaper.
Kitchen · White · 20-24"
For kitchen ceilings that need a single primary fixture. Neutral 4000K is the standard kitchen color temperature for accurate food prep visibility. The slim profile suits modern minimalist kitchen design.
Hallway · White · 16" in series
Two or three 16" Astras spaced evenly down a long hallway. The flush profile keeps the hallway ceiling visually clean; the even illumination across all units creates the architectural lighting moment that hardwired downlights would normally require.
Kids room or nursery · Green · 16"
The Green Astra reads playful without being childish — works in nurseries, kids' bedrooms, and playrooms where a colorful ceiling fixture adds personality. Dimmable version recommended for nighttime feeding routines.
Low-ceiling basements or attics · White · 20"
The defining application — finished basements with 7'4" ceilings, converted attics with low beams, postwar tract homes with 7'8" ceilings. The 1.9-inch profile fits where deeper fixtures would feel oppressive.

Questions
Which color temperature should I choose — 3000K, 4000K, or 6000K? +
3000K (Warm White) for bedrooms, living rooms, dining areas, and any space where the lighting should feel relaxed and golden. Matches typical bedside lamp color temperature.
4000K (Neutral White) for kitchens, home offices, hallways, and bathrooms where accurate color rendering matters. The balanced daylight feeling works for task lighting without going clinical.
6000K (Cool White) for utility spaces, garages, workshops, and bright task areas. Reads crisp and clinical — not recommended for living spaces but excellent for spaces where visibility is the priority.
Default recommendation: 3000K Warm for residential, 4000K Neutral for kitchen/office, 6000K Cool only when bright clinical light is the goal.
Should I order the Dimmable version? +
Order Dimmable if: Your bedroom, primary living room, or dining area would benefit from evening atmosphere control. Once you have dimming, you use it daily. The $30 upgrade is worth it for primary living spaces.
Order Standard if: The application is hallway, basement, garage, kids room, or utility space — places where you want the light fully on or off without ambient control.
The Dimmable version requires a triac-compatible LED dimmer wall switch, sold separately at Home Depot or Lowe's for $15-30. Most standard wall dimmers from the past 10 years are triac-compatible — if your home has a dimmer switch already installed, it likely works without replacement.
What happens when the LED eventually fails? +
Modern integrated LED ceiling lights are rated for 25,000-50,000 hours of operation. At average residential use (~3 hours per day), that's 23-45 years before the LED reaches end-of-life. Most residents replace fixtures for stylistic reasons (room remodel, design refresh) long before the LED actually fails.
If the LED does fail before you're ready to replace the fixture, the entire unit is designed to be removed and replaced like any other ceiling fixture — disconnect the wiring, mount a new fixture in the same junction box, restore power. The convenience trade-off is no socketed bulbs to replace, but eventual full-fixture replacement when the integrated LED fails.
Which size should I order for my room? +
General rule for flush mount sizing — add the room's length + width in feet, then choose a fixture diameter in inches close to that sum:
Room 8' × 10' (sum 18) → 15.7" (close to 16") works well
Room 10' × 12' (sum 22) → 19.6" (close to 20") fits
Room 12' × 14' (sum 26) → 23.6" (close to 24") proportions correctly
For larger rooms (16'+ in either dimension), consider two smaller flush mounts instead of one large one — the doubled fixture count gives more even illumination across the larger area.
Is Green too bold? Will it look weird on the ceiling? +
Less bold than you'd expect. The Green Astra is a muted moss green rather than bright primary green — it reads as a natural, deliberate color choice rather than a bold statement. On a typical white ceiling, the Green Astra looks like a deliberate design accent, similar to how a green velvet sofa or sage-painted accent wall functions.
The Green Astra suits: Cottagecore interiors with botanical patterns, Maximalist rooms with pattern-mixing, Scandinavian rooms where pastels are common, kids' rooms and nurseries, and any home where the ceiling fixture should match other green accents (plants, throw pillows, painted trim).
Choose White if: Your interior is more neutral, your ceiling is anything other than white, or you want the fixture to functionally disappear against the ceiling.
