The Penna Series is built around the conviction that a table lamp should have the presence of a sculpture and the functionality of a tool. The hand-textured oval wood base references the organic geometry of river stones and seed pods — forms that feel inevitable, as if they couldn't have been any other shape. The conical shade above it isn't decorative afterthought; in the Black colorway it's a walnut wood veneer that makes the lamp read as a single sculptural object, and in the Natural colorway a woven linen shade that wraps the light in warmth.

Placement Guide:

The Penna's compact 13-inch height makes it ideal for nightstands, side tables, console tables, and desk corners. As a general rule, the bottom of the shade should sit at roughly seated eye level — approximately 20–24 inches above the tabletop — so the Penna works best on surfaces 10–14 inches in height.

Pairing Guide by Colorway:

Black + Walnut Shade: Pairs naturally with dark furniture, concrete surfaces, and editorial interiors with black, charcoal, or forest green color palettes. Strong contrast against light walls. Ideal for: bedside in a dark bedroom, styling shelf, designer home office.

Natural + Linen Shade: Pairs naturally with warm wood furniture, linen textiles, rattan, and Japandi or Scandinavian interiors. Soft contrast against off-white and warm cream walls. Ideal for: bedside in a light bedroom, living room side table, reading corner.

Note on Natural Wood: Each Penna base is shaped from real wood. The deeply etched grain texture will vary between pieces — your lamp's pattern is its own.
